Stupidity- The Outsiders/ Dallas Winston

𝑪𝒉𝒂𝒑𝒕𝒆𝒓 𝒏𝒊𝒏𝒆𝒕𝒆𝒆𝒏

I waited for what felt like hours standing like a damn fool waiting for Dallas, He looks around from the windshield while he is parked
"Thanks Dal." I sigh closing my eyes for a minute, he hands me my uniform I push myself up digging my stilletos onto the leather seats as I climbed to the back seat Dallas looks over his shoulder pulling on the hem of my dress "What the fuck are you doin' man?" He says
"I need to change to my uniform!" I yell at him
"Right here, right now?" He looks everywhere in the busy street
"Where else am I supposed to change, in the public bathroom?" I try attempting to climb over the seat again as Dallas pulls on my skirt again "sit your ass down you gonna get me arrested." I roll my eyes grabbing my uniform taking the white dress off, Dallas takes quick glances at me as I put the tight pink dress on reaching for the zipper Dallas zips it up before turning his focus to the traffic "Thanks." An hour later we pulled up into the parking lot of the dingo "Sorry for waking you up, I didn't know who else to call." I say looking awkwardly at the dingo in front of us "it's alright." He pauses before chuckling "what?" I smile looking at him "I'm just glad you called." his lowed eyes staring into mine
"There you go again." I laugh breaking contact "Is that how you woo girls, with your eyes." Studying his brown eyes smiling He was to focus looking at me
I look down at my lap refusing to look at him

He broke the silence between us

"You know I ment what
I said Y/N."

I fix my hair putting on my earrings
"About what?" I say acting clueless I look at him before turning away trying to add touch up on my makeup

"Nothin'." I looked back at Dallas "Okay, well if it comes across your mind ill talk to you later but I have to head to work right now." he just looks down at his hands playing with his skull ring while giving a nod
"I'll see you at the party Dal." I say smiling giving him a hug

As I walk in Rosetta is slumped onto the counter, when she sees me she brightens up running to me for a hug "I thought you quit the second day!" She says hugging me tightly
"Oh of course not!" I chuckle
As I took a few orders from customers I talked to Rosetta about meeting Paul's parents, and how Paul's mom left me over thinking, and especially how I left Paul without a proper goodbye or expressing how I felt.

"You should tell him how you feel if you want a relationship to work you must not sleep with a heavy heart, communication Y/N."

"I'm not dating him yet, that's the thing Miss Rosetta we're not dating I can't express any personal feelings since I'm not in a relationship with him."

"He hasn't popped the question?"

"No Miss Rose, we are no where near that, I don't know what we are."

"Oh sweetheart-." She pulls me into a hug

"You didn't do-" she looks at me giving me a certain look

"We did-, but that's beyond the point." Rosetta has her hand covering her mouth

"How can I tell him I'm sorry, he's busy tonight with his game and I'm also busy with the party tonight, there is no perfect time to tell him I'm sorry and how I felt."

Rosetta nods patting my back
I finished a few more orders it was around 𝟔:𝟑𝟎 𝐏𝐌 I had exactly an hour til the party and I wasn't ready I looked like a mess, I felt like shit, and I couldn't get my mind straight.

"Hey Miss Rosetta, I was thinking if you could give me chance to get ready for my birthday party I know I'm asking for too much and it's just my second day here but I'll make it all up tomorrow."

Rosetta pauses to consider it
"Your just a teenager trying to provide for your friends, I don't see the harm in getting a night off." She smiles

" Oh thank you, thank you, thank you Mrs Rose!" I say pulling her into a hug
