A/N: yes, it is chuuya nakahara
"Mr. Alhaitham. The Madame is calling you to hurry up," Chuuya, our housekeeper, tells me, gently knocking on my door. I lift my head up from my book. Annoyed, because-
Grandma (The staff in our house calls her Madame, I just call her Grandma) is forcing me to attend the Celestial Teyvat Academy. It's a boarding school. A boarding school. Words cannot describe how much I despise boarding schools. What's the difference between a boarding school and a prison?
We're leaving for the Academy soon. Chuuya will be accompanying me on my first day there. The drive will take a few hours. First is annoying because I have quite the hatred towards car rides.
If we're leaving for the place right now, it means I have to stop reading for a few seconds. How absolutely annoying.
Ignoring Chuuya, I go back to reading. I hear the ginger sigh as he starts walking towards me. "Mr. Alhaitham. I can't afford getting in trouble with Madame," he tells me, reaching out his right hand to grab my book. I hold my book inside my arms.
"Don't you dare," I glare into his heterochromia eyes. One of them is brown, the other is navy-blue. Chuuya sighs again, placing his hand on his hat. Chuuya sighs a lot.
"Then you have to get up, Mr. Alhaitham," he presses his lips together, "You have everything packed up, right?"
I nod in response, After a few moments of hesitating, I close my book and stand up. Chuuya nods, satisfied, "Get your things. I'll be waiting for you at the front gates, I expect you there in less than 10 minutes."
He leaves, closing the door. I stare at the unmoving white door that Chuuya exited out of. Chuuya has been my housekeeper for years. Being 6 years older than me, he's sort of like a father to me. Because Grandma is too "busy" for many periods of my life, Chuuya basically acts like a parent to me. He attends my school activities, he drives me to places, and he sometimes would even cook for me when he's bored. On the other hand, he also acts as my brother. When I was a bit younger, he would play with me, talk to me about my problems, and do movie nights with me. Although as I continued growing, we stopped spending time like this together.
Chuuya can be grumpy sometimes, well, most of the time. But he's actually a good person if you just get to know him more.
Snapping myself out of my train of thoughts, I blink. I look around, searching around for my suitcase. I spot it in the corner of my room, wth my backpack lying on top of it.
I ring for a servant to come carry my things for me as I make my way downstairs to the front gates. Stopping my way to say my goodbyes to the servants and maids I see on the way.
Finally out of my house - mansion? I see Chuuya waiting for me outside a limo, with my suitcases already loaded in the car.
As he sees me, he opens the car door for me. I climb inside and open my book to start reading again. After a few moments, I feel the car start as Chuuya climbs in as well, sitting beside me as some random guy drives the car.
"So how's the book?" He asks, bored.
I shrug, "Good."
Chuuya sighs, "You're really bad at making small talk, you know."
I roll my eyes, "I am aware, yes."
Chuuya snorts, pulling out his phone to start texting someone. I peer at him curiously. He has a stupid grin on his face, which doesn't happen often, making me wonder who he was texting.
"You look happy." I state, watching for his reaction.
Chuuya looks up, he laughs sheepishly, "Do I now?"
