a/n: the angst isnt even half-way there yet lol. heres a small rock

I can't seem to get the image of Kaveh sleeping out of my head.

This morning, when I woke up, Kaveh was still fast asleep, murmuring about some paintings on the walls.

Panic flooded over me when I realized what I had done last night. I comforted Kaveh and slept in the same bed with him. Well, not exactly the same bed, but you get what I mean. I could separate the beds again, but I chose not to... After all, I didn't want to disturb the blonde from his sleep.

I've woken up pretty early despite it being a Sunday. When I exit the room, it's already 9 am.

I feel slightly guilty about ditching Nilou from last night, so I tried to contact her again by text, only for her to respond with, "I'm at dance practice, maybe tomorrow." I sigh, deciding to skip breakfast and go straight to the library.

Sitting down at one of the tables, I tap my fingers and wonder what I can do. Not really feeling like studying, I take out my book and start reading.

"I love the Shatter Me series!" A loud voice exclaims into my ears.

I wince, lifting my eyes to see a girl with half pink and half blue eyes.. Her hair and her eyes are the same shade, both of them being light pink, like a ballet slipper, with a hint of ocean-blue in it,

I glance back to my book. I started reading the Shatter Me series about two days ago because Kaveh keeps recommending it to me.

"Warner is the best! The best!" he gushes to me, doing a little jump, "The way he treats El- I mean Juliette, wouldn't want to spoil the story - is so romantic! I love it!"

I smile slightly remembering how silly he seemed.

"So you are a Romance girlie, after all," I told him teasingly.

All of that was before last night though. I'm sure he hates me so much now...

"Don't just ignore me," the girl from earlier frowns, slipping into the seat next to me.

I glance at her coldly, "My apologies, I did not realize simply just being here would be such a huge disgrace to your delicate dignity."

She blinks at me, "Damn."

Annoyed, I turn back to my book, wanting to focus.

"I'm Mylia, what about you?" She grins at me, I narrow my eyes at her.

"Alhaitham."

She starts giggling, "Alhaitham~ What a fun name~" She says, watching my reaction. I press my lips together. Why the fuck does she talk like her.

"And... You know, you don't look that bad..." She twirls her hair, blinking at me.

I try not to lash out, "Thanks."

She reaches out her hand and lightly bats my shoulder, "Aw.... Don't be like that! I'm being genuine!"

"Thanks."

She rolls her eyes at me then cracks a smile, "Are you free this afternoon? We can go somewhere, you know?"

"I need to study."

"Aw, what a shame," she sticks her tongue out playfully.

Not being able to resist it anymore, I stand up and walk away, exiting the library. Wandering where I can go, I subconsciously walk to the cafeteria.

I see Tighnari and Cyno at the table, but no Kaveh. I sit down across from Collei, and speak.

"Where's Kaveh?" I ask, tapping the table impatiently.
