Part 4:Never let go

MinLin,KimLin and Lucian followed Ritora's instructions to reunite with Jordan and the others,they found Jordan reading ancient tablets that seem to truly date back to ancient Gozmerian times.

"Long ago we were known as Gozmerians,we were humanoid creatures but as we evolved we became more animal-like beings and we became the Mythrans of today.However some rejected their fate and turned to the darkness becoming the phenomena known as the corruption who forged a destiny out of pure evil.They caused us great pain and suffering until a couple known as Yin and Yang had a power to seal the corruption underneath Mythra but they knew it would not last for eternity.To make sure the corruption is suppressed they created the six arbiters and gave them a piece of knowledge on their power to ensure its dark power never harms the Mythrans again and to prevent it from falling into the wrong hands they kept them secret.Prophets spoke of the return of the corruption but its downfall would be wielders of arcane power."

After Kai finished reading that MinLin fell to her knees realizing the reason both her and her twin lost everything was because the corruption attacked Feroxa due to Feroxians being the only ones capable of using arcane magic the closest thing to the power of Yin and Yang.

"MinLin,I know it's hard to realize the truth but-"

"No you don't understand!!KimLin and I,we lost everything!Our parents,home,friends,EVERYTHING!"MinLin yelled in angry tears.

"MinLin stop.I do understand that same feeling,we all do and you are not alone."Kohrae said comforting her.

MinLin got back up and knowing she wasn't alone lead the group in finding a way out of that labyrinth.They kept walking until they got to a gate that lead to something glowing in another room.Tristen said that it had to be something powerful but soon the entire temple began radiating with corruption,being in the temple got scarier as the silence was replaced with echoing screams.

"Gah these screams give me chills."Kai said shuddering.

"This is the corruption's doing,if we stop whatever is doing this both the temple and Rokirikori should return to normal."MinLin said.

MinLin and her group rushed to the end of the hall finding an orb of Umbra and Luma but a corrupt figure was before it.She laughed maniacally before asking how they were still alive.

"That is none of your concern."Kohrae said.

She charged towards the group and they countered using Aero,Pyra,Mythra and Umbra energy.They kept trying to find a weakness but any attempted to was futile as the corrupt figure was too agile.MinLin's leg was trapped in corruption that took form of a bear trap and the corrupt figure was determined to end MinLin's life but as she opened her eyes she saw that Kohrae used his great sword to block the corrupt figure's attack.

"MinLin Go!You are able to read arcane symbols so you should know what the secret is.We will hold her off the best we can."Kohrae said.

MinLin nodded and began to run,when she got to the orb a wave of crimson fire was storming after her until a wall of Mythra was risen.It was Jordan who made it but he said he couldn't hold hit for long.She tried to read the symbols but the orb went inside her and she walked to the corrupt figure with each of her eyes radiating black and white,she struck the corruption with such sacred force that it was sent flying to the wall.

"Gah how is she so strong?Could she really be—bah never mind if I'm gonna die like this I'm taking that Rokiri with me."She said as she armed a tendril of corruption.

"Wait that thing's aiming for *gasp* Jordan look out!!"MinLin yelled.

Jordan looked up but couldn't run because of how bad his burns were,at the last second both Kai and Tristen jumped and took the hits which hit them in the chest.Everyone watched in horror as the two Rokiri's bodies fell to the ground,Kohrae ran and slashed the tendrils but began resting on his great sword because his burns were as bad as Jordan's.The figure then held her head telling the group to save her before she vanished.She wasn't corrupt but rather she was corrupted,there was a big difference between the corrupt and the corrupted.The corrupt were pure evil and would do anything to serve their lord while the corrupted are affected by the corruption and can't control what they do.

"N-No Kai,Tristen hang in there.Please don't die on me."Jordan pleaded in tears.

"Sorry Buddy *coughs* but you're gonna have to keep going on your own."Tristen said.

"But-But I can't you guys are all I have left."Jordan said as endless streams of tears fell from his eyes.

"You've still got them,but do us a favour.Once you save Rokirikori save the rest of the world for us."Kai said in his dying breath.

After they died Jordan's sorrow and broken heart couldn't stop his boiling rage as he glared at Kohrae.In blind rage he attacked Ritora framing him for Kai and Tristen's deaths,no matter what MinLin,KimLin and Darian tried they couldn't stop him from charging at Kohrae with his Kunai.The fox girls had to think of a way to stop Jordan before he accidentally beats Kohrae to death,the best way to stop him was by Knocking Jordan out,meanwhile Ritora was continuing to deflect Jordan's attacks but was continuously getting stabbed in the arms.MinLin jumped in the air and kicked Jordan in the back of the head therefore knocking him out and both boys collapsed at the same time.

"Well that stopped him but I can't say I blame him,losing those so close to you is hard."Darian said picking Jordan up.

"But why did attack Koko?He did nothing wrong and that really confused me."MinLin said carrying Kohrae.

Both shrugged but before they left they took Kai and Tristen's lifeless bodies to bury them near the outside of the temple.They left a gravestone made of Umbra,Aero and Pyra before noticing that Rokirikori had returned to normal and everyone was back in their bodies.Jordan woke up and the first thing he worried about were the fox girls but turned to see Ritora next to him.He remembered what he did in his fit of blind rage and felt bad about it.

"Hey man,I just wanted to say I'm sorry for what I did to you.I never wanted it to happen but I was mad that I lost those so close to me."Jordan said depressed.

"You are not the one at fault Jordan,I know what it feels like to never see someone so dear to you ever again but you are a strong Rokiri.But what did you mean when you said that they were all that you had left?"Kohrae asked.

"I said that because I'm an orphan,my parents deserted me when I was baby.Those two were the only ones who treated me like real family and I couldn't stand losing them.But you guys are still like a family to me right Arbiter?"Jordan asked.

Kohrae laughed before saying that the group and everyone in it were a family.
