Part 7:Pulse of the Shadow Walkers

The group set off for the isle of shadows to meet Darian's twin brother Blade but the isle she knew was different than it was before.There were explosions and destruction at every corner her eye could see.The shadow walkers were the only beastus immune to the corruption but somehow it got onto the isle.

"We have to find Bladie and fast!"Darian said panicking.

"Bladie?"Jordan asked.

"Oh you idiotic feline,my brother!!"Darian shouted angrily.

Darian led the group to an abandoned town and they didn't know why until Darian began shouting that she knew that 'he' was here.

"My my!Heya sis long time no see."A white haired Shadow Walker said happily.

"You're Blade?"The Porika twins asked at the same time.

Everyone was so confused because they've never met a Beastu whose name is Blade.Jordan simply couldn't stop laughing because he didn't look like he should be named Blade so challenged him to a duel.However Jordan really underestimated Blade as he was struck down in only two seconds.Kohrae said he wanted to try so asked if Jordan could hold onto his great sword,he thought it would be light enough to hold with one arm but fell down as it was so heavy.

"How can this guy freaking hold this with one arm when it so goddamn heavy?"Jordan complained.

"Huh?That's strange he's going to do this with his bare hands,that should make this easy."Blade thought to himself with a smirk.

He charged directly at Kohrae but after his strike when the dust settled he was gone.Blade began looking everywhere until Ritora was behind him and his body surged with Electra.He was too slow to turn around and squeezed his eyes shut to prepare for the hit but opened his eyes to see two of Ritora's fingers touching his forehead.

"Checkmate."Kohrae said with a smile.

Everyone was amazed even Blade himself but Jordan felt humiliated because he couldn't even land a hit on Blade yet Ritora did.

"That's a first,no one has ever managed to even touch me.Seriously I'm impressed with you uh—Ritora."Blade said admiring Ritora's talent.

Darian asked what was happening and Blade told her that the corruption mutated somehow and was able to start infecting Shadow Walkers only instead of corrupting them it turns them into monsters that mimic zombies.He said at this rate no one not even they were safe from the corruption this time,Blade however came up with a plan to destroy the mutant corruption without harming the Shadow walkers but was missing something.

"This thing needs something at least an arm from a powerful corrupt force,I couldn't find anything because of how dangerous it is out there."Blade grimaced.

"Don't worry Bladie we'll help you but that's also not one of the reasons I came back."Darian said.

Blade looked at her confused but Kohrae's arbiter marks had turned red and MinLin got worried because they had never done that before.He fell to the ground in agony and MinLin said that they'll help Blade if he can help save Kohrae from his Father.She said told Blade that she vowed to save Mythra and everyone in it no matter what price had to be paid.Blade complied and told the group about a corrupt monster that has enough power for the antidote to be powered but it roams the Shadojo and it's been too dangerous to even go there.He told the group that he tried to go into the Shadojo and nearly escaped with his life but maybe with MinLin and her group's help they might stand a chance to save the Shadow Walkers.

"Oof you guys don't look too good,why not get going first thing in the morning?"Blade suggested.

The group agreed so followed Blade to his hideout,MinLin looked at her Electra injury on her shoulder but was more worried about Ritora as his were worse due to him nearly sacrificing himself to save the others.Blade showed everyone their rooms and when they finally settled MinLin wanted to look at his wounds which finally closed,as she was tightening the bandage she noticed not two but three very large scars on his back and both his shoulders.She asked what they were and how that happened to him and he had enough courage to tell her.The one on his back was a poison scar and the reason he has it was because his father used a poison that was in his tail to weaken Kohrae,it was so strong that if he continued to use it on him Ritora's immune system wouldn't be strong enough to fight it again.The scars on his shoulders were from the day he fled his hometown and it was nighttime making Yokairo very cold and frost began growing on his shoulders,Kaitlyn broke them off but the frost permanently scarred him.His newest scar was on his chest from KimLin's Pyra attack.

"Sorry my sister attacked you,she was just trying to protect me."MinLin said.

"No I should be apologizing to you,I had struck you in the back with Electra......"He hesitated as his guilt reminded him of his past."It was my fault."

He began to cry because he hurt her when he never wanted to but MinLin she knew how it felt but treachery was even worse than that.She pulled his head down to lay him on her lap,MinLin told him that it was never his fault that he has harmed others against his will and he needs to stop thinking it's always his fault.He was about to say again that it was his fault but MinLin stopped him,he gripped his horns as if he was scared that someone would rip them off.MinLin asked why he feared his horns being touched and he told her that once his father had ripped them off his head and because they were a part of his body they hurt so bad that he screamed and they started bleeding,it took them a total of four years to fully grown them back.

"Can I touch your horns,don't worry I won't do what that man did to you."MinLin reassured.

He allowed her and as her fingers moved down them she saw the marks of where his horns were ripped off.Ritora slept like he was dead and MinLin admired him until Blade and her twin came out of nowhere.

"Guh,you freaked me out!Don't do that again."MinLin said with her tail quivering.

KimLin looked at the burn scar she gave Ritora and said that she went too far protecting her sister but MinLin said she did it to save her and he's persistent but it'll take a long time to heal.The next morning the group began going to the Shadojo to power 'the antidote' and they could tell that a strong corrupt entity dwelled within because of its nauseating aura.After entering the Shadojo KimLin's worst nightmare came true once again they were in a maze but remained together unlike the situation in Rokirikori.

"Oh come on!!We literally just suffered from a ding dang maze back in Rokirikori now this?!"KimLin ranted.

"KimLin for Leif's sake just stop ranting.The faster we do this the quicker we can save the others."MinLin said tugging her sister's ear.

Jordan suggested they split up to find a way to the central chamber but MinLin disagreed after the last time that happened but that Rokiri was prepared this time as he made portable signal beacons.He set up a rendezvous beacon before handing a portable one to everyone telling them if they find the way out or are in trouble throw it down.Beacons in hand the group split up to explore the labyrinth to find a way out.
