Chapter 17

im completely healed now. But Xaden's suspense and fear for saying the reason still keeps bothering me. Why couldnt I say it out aloud.

It's midnight right now and I'm unable to sleep. I told and turn but curiosity is getting the best of me.
I need answers. Now.

I get out of my bed still in my night gown. I slowly head outside. I recall Xaden telling me his dorm is situated at the far end of the hallway.

So I head there. I come across many doors leading to who knows what. The corridor is dark giving creepy vibes. I kinda regret my decision.

At the far end I can see a large wooden door. That's the end of the hallway so that is probably his dorm.
I stand in front of the large door. I slowly knock on it waiting for him to open it.

I can hear a faint sound coming from the other side.
Maybe he is up now. Slowly the door creaks open and Xaden appears in my view.

Broad shoulder, well built and refined muscles. Refined abs on his torso, he is shirtless. I immediately blush at the sight and face him.

He caught me checking him out. Shit. "Are you alright??" he asks with a worried tone. "yes, im fine.'
I assure him. "Why are you here then?" he asks me.
"i need explanations Xaden. What was that??" I ask him.

He stares at me in silence for awhile and then grabs me and pulls me in his room. "what the-" I was about to say but then he cuts me off saying, "look violet uhh as you know Andarna is a feather tail right?" He asks me.

"Well yes, she is. So what about it?" I ask him. "Feather tails are not supposed to channel powers." He tells me. "But how did I stop time then?!" I ask him surprised.

"That's the thing. She is a special breed and she was the one who gave u the power." He tells me. "Come with me." He tells me. "To where?" I ask. "Just follow me and don't as questions." He tells me and I nod.

I follow him to his cupboard. It's quite a huge cupboard indeed. He opens it revealing a huge collection of clothes and suits. He pushes some kind of button inside and the sound of machineries working comes from behind it.

The back of the cupboard reveals a huge passageway, a dark tunnel. "What..." I gasp in surprise. "Follow me." Xaden tells me as he grabs a flashlight and turns it on.

We walk through the dark passage for awhile. His flashlight is the only source of light here. At a distance I can see the faint glow of the moonlight.

I relief a little knowing we are at the end of this creepy tunnel. We walk in silence for awhile and evantually reach the end.

We come to the view of Tairn, sgaeyl and Andarna.
Andarna is sleeping peacefully like a little baby and Tairn and sgaeyl are guarding her like they are her parents.

"Tairn??" I ask, "What are you doing here." I ask again. "It's where we stay silver one." Tairn says in my head. "Oh" I say.

"I'm gonna show you something cool" Xaden tells me. "Okay." I say slightly confused. "You look beautiful tonight." A voice says in my head and I immediately recognise the voice to be Xaden's. But his lips didn't move. It's like he transferred the massage from his head to mine.

"Huh." I say surprised. "We can communicate with each through telepathy." Xaden tells me. "It's perks of being bonded with two mated dragons." Xaden says again.

"Woah." I say. "Let me try too." I say again. I try to think of a sentence in my head and try my level best to transfer it to xaden's head. "Did it work?" I ask him. " I'm bad at compliments??" Xaden asks.
"Looks like it worked." I say with a smirk.
