Jin-ji ran away after what she almost did to On-jo, and that's a good thing for her. Being able to recover while still trying to control her zombie instincts will keep her friends safe from her because she knows in her heart and mind she'll never going to hurt them.
She didn't even have a proper goodbye towards her friends and she already missed them so much. Because of those thoughts, she cried again, now feeling like it's almost making her eyes dry because of it. But she have to be strong and would not let her zombie blood getting towards her vains to take over her again.
"Jin-ji-ah!! Jin-ji-ah!!," she then heard a voice shouting and that came from I-sak. Her best friend came back for her.
"I'm sorry that I did let you attack On-jo. Worst mistake of my dead life.," she said. "Gwenchanayo, I-sak. At least you came back to protect them.," Jin-ji responded. "Like you promised, we'll would protect each other and the others if one of us turns.," I-sak responded back.
After a while, they were now getting tired of walking and it was getting dark. Jin-ji then grabbed something from her pocket, shocking I-sak in the process.
Turns out, it was Nam-ra's lighter that was inside of the pocket. The class president gave her that while they were trapped in the auditorium.
Nam-ra called Jin-ji while sitting beside each other, and the former reached out to the latter's hand, only gave her the lighter that she have been keeping after it had been used for the campfire earlier in the night.
Confusion struck onto the class vice president's face as the class president chuckled. "You should keep this one now. I'm going to quit smoking for real this time.," she said. "I'm still going to help on that one and for every step that gets in your way....If I don't turn into a full zombie.," Jin-ji answered but whispered the last part. Nam-ra heard that whisper, smiling as she surely knows knows Jin-ji isn't lying. "Gamsahabnida."
Nam-ra didn't say a signle word and just nodded before laying beside the vice president, who just kept the lighter in her pocket. "Saranghaeyo, Choi Nam-ra. Don't forget that.," Jin-ji sincerely whispered as she slowly closes her eyes. The class president countered and it make her vice's heart fluttered even more, even if she is sleeping.
"Nado. Nado saranghaeyo."
"Good thing prez gave you that lighter, it could be used if we can meet our friends again.," I-sak recommended. "I'm sure it is.," Jin-ji answered.
Both hambie girls walked towards the door that the vice president clearly recognized. As I-sak opens that same door, their eyes saw a familiar face lurking into the shadows.
"I told you so earlier that I'll see you again."

When On-jo's group returned towards the rest of the survivors, Ha-ri noticed some of their appearances which are all broken. It's very much understandable because of the situation but when she noticed hers and Nam-ra's appearances, the archer felt broken. She never saw the class president and her brother's classmate cry like that, making her eyes fully swollen from crying as well.
When the two groups meet, questions were raised. "Wait a second, where's Jin-ji?," Gyeong-su asked. "She already left when she almost bit On-jo. I-sak as well.," Cheong-san answered.
"Aish, shi-," Mi-jin almost swore but she stopped when she heard that the class vice president was gone. She felt broken after the news, so she hugged Ha-ri, who felt also the same when she disappreared.
