Chapter 24: Trapped on the Spot

The group, after many minutes of running, reached the auditorium, and the place looked dark.

Suddenly, as soon as I-sak went in, something strange took her. Her breaths were a little harder and her senses tingles.

Soon after, Ha-ri's group arrived. Jin-ji went to the front and had the same feeling as I-sak.

The two hambies frozed from their spots. They didn't expect that the line between life and death is now on a breaking point for the survivors.

"Jin-ji, what's wrong?"

"What's wrong, I-sak?"

Both Joon-yeong and Gyeong-su asked simulatiously after noticing that the two girls were frozen on the spot.

"Darn it. Run.," the vice president whispered. "We should go now.," I-sak followed.

No one moved a muscle, except Joon-yeong, who just tilted his head.

"Run away.," Jin-ji whispered again. This time, however, was louder to the one prior.

Just as the survivors' heartbeats were running fast, lightning strikes again. The flashes of light were seen as it shines in the windows, revealing hordes of zombies inside the auditorium roaming and ready to pounce.

"Mwoya shi-," Mi-jin whispered.

The undead once again chasing the living, as the survivors were now running against the zombies, snarling as they charged towards them. Luckily, Ha-ri found the auditorium's equipment room for them to be their safe base. "Over here!," she shouted.

They then started to enter the room once the archer opened the door, letting everyone to go inside. Su-hyeok and Wu-jin were the most recent ones to go inside while Min-jae went back outside to escape. Mi-jin and Joon-seong were struggling to follow until the latter collapsed.

That was the last heroic moment for the latter as he was later been bitten by the charging zombies. The girl wanted to help him back up but it's too late, as he was already been bitten while the Jang siblings tried to pull her towards the equipment room.

Mi-jin tried to resist just to save her friend, but it's too late. Joon-seong have already been devoured by the zombies and the door was eventually closed, joining with the remaining survivors with them inside.

The group might have added Mi-jin and Ha-ri but along the way, they lost Ji-min. They briefly had Min-jae and Joon-seong, but as quick as lightning, they were quickly defected due to the zombie attack in the auditorium.

The equipment room might be their safe house for now, but they still have to escape from the apocalipse.

Silence were heard in the room after the attack, with sobs and cries being the only sounds being only heard afterwards.

Ha-ri was hanging on Mi-jin, who is emotional following Joon-seong's death, succumbing to the virus, while Wu-jin gets sits beside them. The older Jang the reached a hand towards the younger Jang for confort.

Su-hyeok, Gyeong-su, and Cheong-san was blocking the door while Jin-ji looked around, not knowing that Hyo-ryeong was hanging on to her arm. It must have been hard for her to lost a friend, letting along a best friend like Ji-min. The vice president then looked at Nam-ra, who also locked eyes with her. Hyo-ryeong slowly released her hand towards her right arm, allowing her to hug the class presient for confort. The pink unformed girl eventually got conforted by I-sak with a side hug.

Joon-yeong, who looked tired, started from all the commotion while Nam-hyun was holding into On-jo's hands.

Dae-su, who was standing in the corner, then approached Cheong-san with a grim face. "Yah, Cheong-san-ah, I'm so sorry about your mom. I didn't know that the zombie we've attacked was her.," he said, but the boy didn't looked at him. "Mianhae.," he added.
