"Akiyama Chinita Kagami, I don't think you realise what you've done. Imagine if Recovery Girl wasn't there to fix that boy. What would you do then?", Taiyō asked. Kagami narrowed her eyes at the mention of her middle name. Ever since her mother's death it didn't sound so pleasant coming from anyone but her.

"My mother gave me that name, you know. I'd like it if you didn't call me by it.", she hissed. At this Taiyō was truly pissed. What was this girl saying? Was she deliberately trying to forget her mother?

"I was there when you were named, and I won't stop calling you by your own name. Here take this and get the front desk receptionist to get something for you to eat.", the man said as he handed Kagami his access card. He then watched as she left, a heavy sigh leaving his lips, as she practically stomped out the training facility. Really, now, this girl needed to see another psychologist. Luckily, he wasn't her father, he couldn't throw that hot potato to Daichi to worry about.

"That was the fastest argument I've ever seen or heard.", a familiar voice said from the doorway. Hawks walked in, training gear ready for a session.

"Yeah. That was the most she's ever said to me in an argument. I must've struck a nerve this time around.", Taiyō said as he readied his own gear.

"Ah~ Chinita, mat-ne-po irankapte!", an old female voice called through Kagami's phone as she entered the arena once again. She was seemingly on a video call, with a bag of food in her free hand.
(Oh, Chinita, daughter, hello/let me touch your heart.)

"Irankapte, huchi...", she said softly as she sat down, setting her food beside her. Taiyō's gaze softened immediately at the realisation that she was talking to their grandma. Now, he understood the extent to which she was frustrated.
(Hello/let me touch your heart, grandma.)

"Iwange no an ruwe?", the old woman asked when the girl said nothing further. Kagami, who had just been staring at the screen in a daze, blinked, letting out a small laugh.

"Un, iwange no k'an wa. Iwange no an ruwe?", she said softly. Taiyō reluctantly turned away, putting a hand on Hawks' shoulder and ushering him onto the race track. (Uh-huh, I'm in good health. Are you doing well?)

"Un, un. Iwange no k'an wa!", the woman said excitedly. The rest of the conversation wasn't heard as the two young men began their session. (Yes, yes, I'm doing well.)

In all honesty, Kagami had a tendency to lean more towards her father's side of the family. This was the first time in many months that she had spoken anyone at all from her mother's family. She especially avoided her grandmother and aunt because they reminded her of her mother. What she didn't expect was for some dimwit to prompt her into calling them by insulting her mother. Sure enough, that quirk stealing bastard was going to see more fists from her than anything, so he aught to watch out.

As she began revising some work, she listened to her grandmother as she told her about everything that was happening in North Hokkaido, how much she missed her, and how her baby cousins had grown up very fast. She missed her grandmother too, but she was too scared to vist her, for some reason. The call ended up lasting a good forty minutes, after which Kagami fell silent with a final goodbye. She packed her bag and set it next to her untouched food, before changing into her PE kit and setting off to find a punching bag or something she could hit real hard.

Time flew, and soon she tired herself out after running a few laps and finally finding a punching bag to terrorise. It was Hawks that found her first, and he only watched, amused as she used every technique she knew to tenderise that punching bag into a sorry pulp. If that was a person, then they would have been long dead by now.

"Huh. I didn't realise it was this serious.", Taiyō said softly as he came to stand next to Hawks. Looking at the time, it had been quite a long time since he and Hawks started training.

"You might wanna find out what's wrong, she looks about ready to kill someone.", Hawks said. Just then, Kagami seemed to notice their presence, and abruptly turned around. Taiyō bit back a scowl at the sight of her frown.

"I have patrol duty tonight. Do you want me to take you home first?", Taiyō asked, trying hard not to seem like he'd rather not face her. If only their father hadn't come home, he was certain that she wouldn't have been like this at all.

"You can go on ahead, I have some studying to do at Katsuki's house. I'll take myself.", the girl said, as she headed for the bench in the far end of the arena. She was hungry after all the training, so she took her food and sat down so she could eat.

Hawks cast Taiyō a glance, the man was holding back for sure. This was getting more and more awkward with each passing second. Taiyō sighed, cast Hawks a glance, and began walking away.

"Alright, we'll be cooling off over there if you change your mind.", he said. Kagami hummed in response, clearly still in a bad mood. What an awkward day to be around these two. This was the first time he even saw the girl and Taiyō didn't even introduce him to her. Well, it didn't matter. It wasn't like he wanted to be friends with her or anything. With that thought in mind, Hawks headed for his bag not too far away. Somewhere in there was a box of fried chiken with his name on it.

"You know, I really don't think it's a good idea to let her go alone with that beat up face.", he said as he approached Taiyō, who seemed to now be nursing a cramped leg as he limped towards the benches.

"What the hell happened to you?", Hawks asked laughingly. Taiyō sat down with a wince, and tried to straighten his leg. He immediately broke into a cold sweat. At this, Hawks was concerned, mainly because he would have to take Taiyō's place if this was serious.

"Torn muscle—", Taiyō breathed. Hawks' heart fell into his stomach. He would have to take Taiyō's shifts for the next month or so at best. Why did he have such horrible luck?

"Damn it... Call my sister over here—", he wheezed. Confused, Hawks put down his food and jogged over to the girl. Now, he didn't know this person's name, and in all honesty he had no idea what he was supposed to say to her. So he did what he could, as the friend who was between a rock and a hard place.

"Hey. Your brother's got a torn muscle. He said I should get you.", he said. The girl's gaze shot up, cheeks full as she slowly chewed her meat. She looked at her brother in the distance, and stood up without a second thought.

Following close behind, Hawks watched as she knelt in front of her brother and squeezed his leg without a moment's hesitation. Taiyō not only winced, but also almost kicked her right in the face. This only prompted the girl to hold his leg tighter.

"Should I call an ambulance?", Hawks asked. Taiyō shook his head with much effort, sweat dripping down his face like a waterfall.

"She'll fix it... And she'll fix... That beat up face of her's... Right after.", he said between rugged breaths.

"Take a deep breath and hold it.", Kagami said, before closing her eyes. Then, Hawks watched in horror as Taiyō writhed and held on to the bench for dear life. It only lasted an unsettling five seconds, before the male suddenly went silent, only breathing heavily. Five, horrid seconds, because Hawks heard everything that happened beneath Taiyō's skin all the while.

"There. I'll get going now.", his sister said, as she rose to her feet. When he looked at her, Hawks saw not a mark on her face, contrary to what he saw just seconds before. Once she was gone, Taiyō stood up and stretched one last time before heading for his belongings.

"By the way, that was Kagami. I forgot to introduce you.", he said with a sheepish grin. Hawks only chuckled.

"You have the worst timing, you know that? What was that anyway? Is she a healing type or something?", he ask, easygoing. Taiyō laughed. How to put it? Kagami's quirk was just different, a perfect balance of both parents' quirks, while also something else entirely.

"No. It's a lot more than just that. By the way, I need a favour.", he replied hurriedly, gathering his belongings as they headed for the shower rooms.

"What?", Hawks asked carefully.

"About that issue with the sneaking around and getting beat up. I need you to follow her for me.", Taiyō said. Hawks paused, watching as the older man walked ahead of him. Now, if that wasn't weird then surely nothing was. Stupefied momentarily, he wasn't sure how to respond, so he just kept walking as Taiyō's word hung over his head.
