More than half of the class was moping as Aizawa sensei read out a few comments on their performance in the exercise. All of the members of the villain team were not a part of this group. Instead, they were actually stoked considering the fact that they performed the best.
"Hero team, you guy barely participated. Instead of being on the look out from the beginning, you waited until you heard that a civilian was nabbed to take action. Your patrols weren't well coordinated and lacked a strategy.", Aizawa sensei said, sounding bored. He continued reading, not lifting his gaze. "This doesn't come as a surprise to me, since every one of you seemed to have your own plans. You all lack teamwork and coordination. We can't have that this late into the year. Work on it."
"Yes, sensei.", Mirio, Midoriya and Iida said. Fumikage didn't say anything, he was too traumatised to speak. All he could think of was how he couldn't remember anything from the time when he was nabbed. He only remembered that way he was sucked into a black cloud as every fibre of his being was pulled apart. He remembered being in excruciating pain, and then there was nothing. He only came to when he was released from whatever happened, and found himself laying at the feet of the new girl. It felt like he had suddenly started existing then. He cast a sidelong glance at the new girl, who was listening to the sensei attentively. That girl's quirk was something else.
"Civilians, your plan to seperate seemed like a good idea at first, but was not ideal given the situation. You needed a more solid strategy, like staying together and forming a strong front to protect each other. Something. Anything, really. There was a lot more that you could have done to keep yourselves safe from the villains. By now, you're already familiar with each other's quirks, yet you didn't even think of using them to help each other. Aoyama was the only one who actually did something when a person was in need.", he said, looking at the group of learners with blue headbands. A lot of them lowered their heads.
"Villains...", he began as he turned his gaze to the students with the red headbands. He didn't want to praise them but... "Your show of teamwork was commendable. Your strategy was great, especially with how you lured your victims in and trapped them. Although there were multiple loopholes in your plan, you managed to quickly adapt to any changes and respond swiftly. Good job."
The villain team celebrated. However, Katsuki and Todoroki weren't too pleased. Todoroki looked at them thoughtfully, wondering just which one of them was the mastermind behind that solid strategy of theirs. As for Katsuki, his gsze was set on one person; Kagami. He knew for sure that she was the one, but he couldn't really be angry. If anything, he was impressed.
"Alright, everyone get changed and go to back to class!", Aizawa sensei instructed before turning and leaving.
They had one more class before the end of the school day. Most of the students were already too tired for it, but there really was no choice. They all got changed and went back as instructed. When they got to class, there was a woman in front of, waiting for them.
"Midnight is a teacher at UA?", Kagami asked incredulously as she and an upset Katsuki walked into the class. At the desk, Midnight stood, waiting for them to get into the class. Beside her, Aizawa sensei stood inside a bright yellow sleeping bag as he sipped on juice.
"You didn't know?", Katsuki asked, as if it had to be the most obvious thing. Kagami rolled her eyes.
"Of course not, I never payed much attention to such things. You know that.", she said as she finally sat down.
"Right."
"Alright class, settle down. Today, Midnight sensei will be with you, please behave yourselves.", Aizawa sensei called. It sounded like he wanted to say something more. Something like, 'or whatever', Kagami thought. She held back a cackle.
