Please, Wake Up

Henry sits near the bed in the war tent, Bella had been moved there as soon as it was safe but still unconscious. He holds her hand, praying that the healers were right and she will be okay.

He kisses her hand and whispers to her.

-"Wake up, Bella. I wanna see those beautiful eyes again. You're safe. Logan will never hurt you again, I made sure of it. I need you to wake up, Bella, so I can beg for your forgiveness."

"I should've fought for you. I should've never left without fighting for you, but I believed I didn't deserve you. I still believe that, but if you'll let me, I will spend the rest of my life making sure you and Alexis know just how much you mean to me."

"I love you and I want to spend the rest of my life with you, so please wake up."

-"Are you sure you still want to marry me? I mean, it seems my husbands have a bad habit of ending up dead." - Her voice is soft and low.

-"I'm willing to risk it."

Henry chuckles, tears in his eyes, as he places a kiss on her hand. He stands and calls for Josh, the man rushing in and smiling as soon as he sees Bella is awake, Henry letting go of her hand and stepping outside, giving them some privacy.

-"You sure like to scare the hell out of me, don't you?"

-"What happened?"

-"There's plenty of time to talk about everything, but right now all you need to know is that Logan is dead and you're safe."

-"Who did it?"

-"Henry." - Bella nods at his answer.

-"Is everyone okay?"

-"There were a few casualties on all sides, but all in all there are more injuries than deaths to report. You need to rest." - Josh squeezes her hand before kissing it. - "I'm happy you're still with us."

Josh leaves her alone, her eyes already closing as he walks through the curtains into the main area of the tent, seeing Henry sitting on a chair, his head in his hands, and places a hand on his shoulders.

-"She'll be okay."

-"I know. I'm just relieved she's awake." - Henry straightens himself.

-"She's resting now, but you should know. She asked who killed Logan and I told her." - Henry nods. -"What's your plan?"

-"What'd you mean?"

-"The war is over. Neither Logan nor Alexander are a threat anymore. What do you intend to do about your feelings for her?"

-"I'm leaving that decision to her." - Henry sighs.

-"Do you still want to be with Bella?"

-"I do. More than anything."

-"Then you better tell her."

-"She knows."

-"I see. I guess all we can do now is wait."
