I jumped up letting my right foot connect with the charred burnt up red door of the hale house, forcing it to fly open, we all then began to walk through, glancing around in all directions, Derek no where in sight

"No one home?" one of the hunters questioned as he cocked his shotgun again, all of us walked around preparing to attack if he came in eye shot

Mom walked closer to the bottom steps smirking as she glanced up the stairs that were in the middle of the room "Oh he's here, he's just not feeling particularly hospitable"

"well maybe he's out burying a bone in the back yard" one of the hunters retorted like he was proud of his comment, personally I found it idiotic and I didn't hide that fact as I rolled my eyes and glanced at him with a questioning look "really? a dog joke?"

Mom glared at the hunter as he shrugged "seriously we're going there and that's the best you got"

Mom and I started walking through the corridor that lead to what I can only assume use to be the living room judging by the charred down burnt ugly green couch, when we reached the middle of the living room mom slowly turned around as she said "if you really wanna provoke him say something like, to bad your sister bit it before she had her first litter"

"Too bad she howled like a bitch-" mom began as I followed in suit and turned back toward the door glancing all around the open area with a slight smirk but when she continued with a loud shout I glanced at her with wide eyes
"WHEN WE CUT HER IN HALF!"

A loud growl was heard echoing a few feet in front of us forcing me to peel my eyes away from moms smirking face to look towards the sound, Derek flew through the air knocking out the hunter that made the poorly instructed dog joke, he jumped up on the wall behind him looking at the last three of us that were standing, his sparkling green orbs were replaced with a glowing cold blue hue, canines began growing from his teeth as he lunged forward jumping off the rail of the stairs to swing on the threshold knocking out the second hunter, our eyes trailed as we followed his body to a wall behind us before returning our eyes to the angry werewolf, he then let his body fall off the board hanging on the open corridor landing on his feet standing only a few inches away from mom and I

He began to growl fixated on my moms face as she smirked, my eyes went wide as I yanked the electric baton that was resting in a holster on my moms belt loop, I clicked the button turning it on as I wielded it to my side, glaring daggers at Derek, mom turned to me with a wide smile almost proud like as she witnessed me challenging the beta
