Chiron: YN, would you mind coming to the Big House with me for a bit?

YN: Oh, sure.  What's up, Chiron?

Chiron: There's someone who I want you to meet, a new camper. You just returned this morning, so you weren't here when he was claimed last night... and his lineage is exceptionally rare, like yours.

My eyes widened.  I was the only child of Artemis to ever be born.  If there was someone else with such rare heritage, it had to be one of the Big Three.  I followed Chiron to the Big House.  Standing at the top of the stairs was a boy who looked to be about my age, with black hair and sea green eyes.

YN: You must be the new kid.  I'm YN LN, nice to meet you.

Percy: Um, hi.  I'm Percy Jackson.  It's nice to meet you too.

We shook hands and I looked at Chiron, who was now walking inside to talk with Mr. D.  Great, leave the antisocial guy to lead the conversation... thanks Chiron.

YN: So, Chiron says you were claimed last night?  I was out on a scouting mission in the woods, after someone killed the Minotaur on Half-Blood Hill the other night.

Percy: Yeah, that... was me.  I was claimed by Poseidon, but nobody's told me why that's such a big deal yet.

YN: Wait, really?

I was surprised.  I had already suspected Percy was the son of one of the Big Three, considering what Chiron had told me.  I knew about Thalia, and I'm sure nobody was surprised by Zeus' inability to keep it in his... never mind.  Point is, I assumed it would be him, but I never thought it would be Poseidon.

YN: Yeah, that's a huge deal.  Around the time World War II ended Zeus, Poseidon, and Hades, the Big Three, swore an oath not to have any more mortal children.  In other words... you are the product of Poseidon breaking that vow.  You're bloodline is almost as rare as mine now.

Percy was shocked, and I can't exactly blame him.

Percy: Wait, then how is your bloodline more uncommon than mine?

YN: Because I'm the only son of Artemis, the Goddess of the Hunt.

Timeskip

YN: Yo, Beckendorf!

Charles turned around and grinned at me.

Charles: Hey, YN!  How'd the scouting go?

He gave me a fist bump.

YN: Uneventful, aside from finding a wrecked car that the new guy apparently crashed on his way here.  Anyways, is it finished?

Charles: What, Αγριος?  Yeah, just finished.  Here.

He tossed me my bracelet, which I quickly put on.

YN: Thanks.  So... the Son of Poseidon?

Charles: Yeah, I saw it happen.  Poseidon's claim symbol looks cool.  It happened yesterday at the end of capture the flag.

YN: Yeah?  What do you think triggered the claim?

Charles: Clarisse beat him up, but he managed to cut her spear in half.  I'm pretty sure she would have killed him if the game hadn't ended.  Then Annabeth pushed him into the sound, and the water healed him.  That's when he got claimed.

Sean: He also made the toilets explode and used the water to send Clarisse flying before capture the flag. It was very amusing.

I turned to see one of my best friends, Sean Beckett, leaning in the doorway.  Sean was a son of Athena, but he... wasn't exactly the brightest guy I knew.

Sean: I was sent to find you two.  Two birds with one stone, I guess.  Chiron's called all the older campers together.  Percy Jackson received a prophecy, and just left for a quest.

Without a second thought, Charles and I jumped up and the three of us ran towards the Big House.  I burst forward, racing up the wall and sitting on the roof with my legs crossed, leaving a trail of footprints behind me.  Once the other campers were here, Chiron explained what had happened, that Percy had gone on a quest with Annabeth Chase and Grover Underwood, and they had left about two hours ago.  Annabeth Chase, my best friend since we were seven.  Suddenly, there was a bright green flash from the window next to me.  It was obvious where it was from since I had been on the roof. Emphasis on "had been" because it scared the crap out of me and I fell, conveniently landing next to Sean, who just chuckled at my misfortune.  I glared at him but before I could say anything, the window was suddenly flung open, and green mist began seeping out.

Oracle: To help return glory to the King of the Gods, the son of the Huntress must defy all odds, the children of Wisdom shall help meet the ends, the dethroned king's servant will betray his friends.

(Welp, I tried)

Everyone was stunned.  The Oracle had never given multiple prophecies in the same month, let alone within three hours.  Chiron looked to me, as I sat there stunned by what we just heard.  It's pretty obvious who the first person in this prophecy is.

Chiron: You shall join them on their quest.  Who will you choose to accompany you?

I turned to Sean.

YN: Chiron, I choose Sean Beckett, son of Athena.

Sean looked surprised, but quickly regained his usual smile.

Sean: I accept.

Everyone cheered.  Sean walked up and put his arm around my shoulder.

Sean: You know, you might've just gotten me killed?

I smirked at him.

YN: You say it like that's never happened before.  Go get your stuff.  We've gotta go catch up to them.
