As Faith was walking into the choir room with Santana, Lauren and Brittany, they were all discussing prom dresses. Faith had already decided on hers, It was pink with a flowy skirt and tight top. It was ordered and coming in the mail, she was so excited for her junior prom.
"I've been to Ann Taylor Loft, Filene's Basement, and, like, six Forever 21s and I can not find a dress that fits. I'm gonna be forced to make my own dress for prom."
"Don't, you'll seem poor." Faith had to laugh at Brittany saying that.
"You're up for Queen, you can't make your own prom dress. Prom is like our Oscars. It's seriously, like, the most important night of our lives."
"And our wedding?" Faith was excited for prom but she knew she would be looking forward more to her wedding.
"Oh, you can get married as many times as you want. You only have one shot at your Junior Prom."
By then, Faith was sitting next to Sam. Under her breath, she said just loud enough for Sam to hear: "Not if you do it right."
Which caused Sam to laugh and smile at her. Faith directed her attention to Mr. Schue as he walked it, more peppy than usual.
"Alright guys, Prom."
"Please tell me we're not doing songs about prom..." Faith nodded along with Sam's comment, she really didn't want to go on a random hunt for prom songs.
"Nope, we are the prom. Figgins has asked us to perform.'' No one seemed totally on board, except for Rachel who already had her song picked.
"Let's do Run Joey Run." Everyone looked at her with questions, Faith would make sure that was not performed.
"Now, I know this isn't ideal with Nationals coming up, but we really don't have a choice. And, we could really use the money. But I know that prom is a special rite of passage. I want to make sure that all of you guys get a chance to enjoy the dance, too. So we're gonna stagger the performances so that each and every one of you has a lot of time to dance with your dates."
Faith half rolled her eyes as she didn't have a date yet, she wasn't sure if she wanted to ask Sam or not. Before she could rely too much on it, Mercedes got up and left.
"Is she okay?'' Mr Schue was the first to acknowledge her absence.
"Mercedes doesn't have a date for prom."
" So? I don't have a date. I'm just going to dance. And then all of your dates are gonna ignore you and come dance with me, so...your dates are really my dates."
"I understand her being upset, I don't have one either, but it's a night with my friends. Maybe she could see it that way?" Faith was just trying to bring light to the darker situation.
Before Kurt could go comfort Mercedes, Rachel offered to instead. They started planning what they were performing, and Faith had an idea to get Sam to go to prom with her.

As Faith walked up to Sam's locker, she held up a little box. His eyes lit up immediately when he saw her.
"I know it was your birthday last week but I didn't get to see you or give you this."
Faith had bought Sam a new guitar strap which was embroidered with his name, a gift card to The Lima Bean and 2 prom tickets. Once Sam got to the prom tickets, he looked up confused.
"I thought maybe you would go to prom with me. I have a dress coming, you could borrow a suit from your dad or even Finn, we can just grab some pizza beforehand. I know you are having troubles with money but I want my junior prom to be with my friends, especially my bestfriend. So, Sam Evans, Will You Be My Prom Date?"
