Caliburn: This is your first test. Fight the dragon that flies before you!

Issei: Heck of a first exam, don't you think!?

The blue-scaled western dragon of chaos blew a torrent of flames at Issei, who promptly jumped out of the way. The flames burrow into the ground before pillars of fire erupt.

Issei: What the!?

[She is the Chaos Karma Dragon. Her flames are very random and can change properties whenever and however.]

Issei: This is gonna be tough!

A barrage of fireballs is sent at him, running away from the flames, some start tracking him as others hit the ground, exploding on contact. Issei starts swinging Caliburn at the fireballs in an attempt to deflect them.

Caliburn: Your swings are like a child with a stick!

Issei: You know instead of mocking me, how about you give me some tips?!

Trying to hold off the barrage of flames, one gets past and blows up, blowing Issei away as he crashes into a tree.

Issei: GYAH! Well, time to improvise!

[Most of your plans are improvised...]

Issei: Shut up!

Dashing towards the bullet hell of fire, an aura of blue starts to cover him as the gem on the Boosted Gear glows.

Issei: Boost! [Boost!]

Creating a shockwave, he blitzes past the flames, leaving a trail of explosions behind him. Tiamat seeing the Blue Blur rushing towards her sends another torrent of flames.

Issei: 'There!' [Boost!]

Sidestepping the flames, he jumps into the air, ready to deliver a slash to the dragon, only to be swatted away like a fly into the giant tree.

[She also has immense strength as well.]

Issei spits some blood out of his mouth and gets up.

Issei: You got anything else that would be helpful?

Looking up, he sees a giant fireball inches away from his face. 

Issei: 'Shoot, I can't dodge this!'

Everything started to slow down, his brown eyes started glowing the same emerald green as the gem on the gear, and Caliburn began glowing as well.

[Boosted Gear calibration complete!]

[Soul Surge!]

The ball of heat is cut in half, revealing an emerald-eyed Issei with a crazed smile. He disappears as cracks in the ground are left in his wake. Tiamat's eyes dart across the forest to try to find him only seeing the afterimages and blurs left behind. Her instincts kick in as she raises her scaled arm and blocks an incoming strike from Caliburn.

[Boost!]

Issei bounces off landing on the ground before shooting off in a random direction. Jumping up again and slashing at the Chaos Dragon. While Tiamat was able to block it, she had more difficulty keeping up.

[Boost!]

He bounces off again, repeating the cycle a few more times, each time boosting himself and making more progress in getting past the dragon's defenses. Caliburn starts glowing along with the Boosted Gear as Issei skids to a stop and prepares one more attack.

[Explosion!]

 Issei jumps up leaving a crater in the ground, flying faster than Tiamat's instincts could react.
