Takin' it slow!

You could probably skip most of this chapter, it mostly follows the original story beats, the only thing changing is dialogue and one new interaction. If you like people talking to each other, hope you enjoy this one.

???: Hey, partner.

Issei groans before waking up in a spacious and luxurious room, with a TV above a fireplace and rug in front of it. Various consoles are found near the TV, alongside a pool table behind the fireplace couch. Issei sees Caliburn "holding" a cue stick. It's just floating beside him as he hits the cue ball. Ddraig's usual mountain-sized body was shrunken down to accommodate the area better.

Issei: How in the? Wasn't this just an empty void before?

Ddraig: Decided to make the place a bit less boring. Watching you fuck around gets boring. I needed to find something to do while I wasn't interacting with you.

Caliburn: I quite like it here, humans have made various interesting instruments.

Issei: Alright, but where will we train if you ever need me to?

Ddraig: Just open the door.

Issei sees a door conveniently appear behind him. He opens it to see the familiar black void he was used to.

Issei: Well that answers that question.

He closes the door, and it disappears when he hears it click shut.

Ddraig: By the way, dangers are coming soon, as well as the White One. I can feel it in my soul. Something feels, off. Be cautious.

Issei: Something always feels off when it comes to my life. Well, if that's it, I'ma go then.

Caliburn: The door is on your right, Knave.

Asia: Issei, wake up!

We see the blonde trying her best to wake the sleeping Issei, to no avail. She glances over at the clock, seeing that it is currently 11:43 AM. They were lucky that it was the weekend. Irina walks in to see Asia trying to shake him awake, only for him to burrito himself in his blanket.

Irina: He's still asleep, huh?

Asia breathes out a heavy sigh.

Asia: After living with him for a while, I still don't know how he sleeps like this. He could sleep through an earthquake!

Irina chuckles nervously as a sweatdrop rolls down her head.

Asia: What's wrong?

Irina: Well, he did exactly that when we were still kids. Here, I know what will wake him. Do you have an empty spray bottle?

Asia: Why?

Irina smiles mischievously, before filling up the bottle with tap water. She sprays the brunette's head once.

Issei suddenly jolts upright, flailing his arms around as if he was in water.

Issei: AHHHHH! HELP! I CAN'T SWIM! AAAAHHHH! AAHH! -Gargling noises-

-Thump!-

Somehow, some way, Issei drowned, passed out, and is now sleeping again. Hearing footsteps, they see Xenovia walk in. Both Irina and Asia were absolutely baffled at how he could drown on land. Xenovia walks into the room to see what the commotion is.
