AN: Just know Excalibur Issei is not coming for another few arcs if I even go that far with this. Maybe I'll make him show up sooner. It will be introduced after Super Sonic though.
It has been a few days since they went to the familiar forest. Kiba has been more and more distant, even spacing out during battles against strays. Issei was on his way walking home from the ORC, with a serious expression on his face. He was thinking about the conversation he had with Rias earlier.

Issei: Holy Sword Project?
Rias: Yes, it was an experiment by the church to create artificial Holy Sword wielders, since only a special few can wield a Holy Sword.
Issei: Wait, what's the difference between Sacred Swords and Holy Swords?
Rias: Sacred Swords are Holy Swords that are cut above the rest, pun not intended. They are similar to how the Thirteen Longinus are ranked above the Sacred Gears. The top 5 are Arondight, Galatine, Laevatein, Caliburn, and Excalibur, with Excalibur being split into 8 pieces during a war. You hold the most integral part of Excalibur. 7 of those pieces were tracked down by the Church and were reforged into new blades, and Caliburn was taken by the Pendragons.
Issei: Seven more swords like Caliburn? That's gonna be a headache.
[I can still hear you, Knave.]
Issei: I hope you can.
Rias: Moving on, Kiba was the sole survivor out of all the children that were used in the experiments.
Issei: Does that mean Kiba can use these Excaliburs?
Rias: No, he isn't accustomed to the power of an Excalibur, the whole project was deemed a failure. He was on the verge of death, the motivation to keep living being a promise he made to those who didn't survive. Then he was reincarnated as a devil.

Issei: What do you think they want?
[Who knows, it may be the White One.]
Issei: Probably not, I think I would know when that guy will show up.
[Whoever it is, tread with caution]
Issei: Got it...
Walking towards his house, he saw the door open. Thinking the worst he summoned the Boosted Gear and pulled out Caliburn as he darted towards his home to ward off any dangers.
Issei: Asia!
Asia: Issei?
???: I-Is that Caliburn AND the Boosted Gear?!
He rushes in to see two girls robed in white conversing with Asia. The blue-haired one seemed to be surprised by the Sacred Sword while the chestnut-haired one seemed to burst in excitement.
???: Issei!
Issei: Woah!
She tackles him to the ground and envelopes him in a hug.
Issei: Irina?
Irina: I missed you so much!
???: Irina, get off of him! How is it you wield the Sword in the Stone, devil!
