The smell of the moist cell hit Clawthorne's nose and her dulled senses slowly started to return. The pain in her wrists, which held the weight of her entire body, the cuts and bruises, the rotting gushes and thorn clothes. With no warning, the doors flew open and the light attacked her sensitive eyes, blinding her temporarily.
"Oh, fuck..." Luz groaned, feeling her parched throat, hurting like never before.
"Good to see you awake, human..." A familiar voice greeted her and Clawthorne could not believe her eyes when she finally focused her sight.
"That's not real!" Luz thought with panic.
She watched her girlfriend standing before her tortured body. Her lavender hair was neatly braided to the side and her gaze was cold, staring blankly at the cuts littered across the human body.
Luz eyed the witch before her and could have sworn her heart skipped a beat when she noticed her girlfriend's favorite, pink dress stained with blood.
"What are you doing here?" Clawthorne asked with a shaking voice.
"Wouldn't you want to know..." Odalia made her presence known and approached the human, smiling viciously. She then took hold of her daughter's chin, squeezing it painfully, resulting in a strained whimper, "She is after all a Blight Industries' Heiress," She explained and let go of Amity, discarding her face with disgust.
She snapped her fingers and in an instant the younger Blight was dressed in a smart, spotless suit. The witch rolled up the sleeves of the charcoal black shirt which was partially obscured by a purple vest, matching the suit pants perfectly.
"Oh, Baby, no..." Luz whispered and was surprised with a powerful punch to her face that broke her lip. When she managed to bring her head up she noticed a splatter of her blood on Amity's pale face.
"Don't you dare call her that, you filthy animal..." Odalia growled and Luz smiled at her.
"We've been through this, Odalia," Luz hissed, "There's nothing you can do or say that will hurt me," She added and smiled, showing off bloodied teeth.
"Oh, that's hilarious," Odalia chuckled maniacally, "Who said I would be the one doing anything to you?" She asked, lifting her hand, presenting an all too familiar choker with a pink orb.
"No! No, no, no, don't! You can't!" Luz panicked, tugging the chains, watching the older witch stepping behind her daughter paralyzed with fear, "Amity!" The golden eyes met the hazel-brown ones and a single tear ran down the pale cheek, mixing with the droplets of the human blood.
"Oh, but I can," Odalia said with a smile and painfully tugged the lavender braid to the side and forced the choker back on. Amity let out a scream when she felt her neck being strangled and her eyes glowed with a magenta glow that did not resemble anything like her normal pink glow, "Now, Mittens..." Odalia placed a sharp, wavy knife in her daughter's hand, "Be a good Heiress, and show that pest where animals like that Titan-awful subspecies belong," She added and placed her hand on her daughter's wrist.
"No... Don't..." Amity whispered with a shaking voice while her mother urged her closer to Luz's body, "Please..." Her voice shook when the blade made contact with the tan body and she could not fight her mother's push.
"Amity," Luz tried to keep her voice calm. She was scared about the whole situation and worried about the love of her life, "Amity, Baby, look at me," She continued, trying to get through to her girlfriend.
"Why the wait, Mittens?" Odalia asked sweetly, "We don't have all eternity..."
"We do!" Luz interrupted, trying to reach Amity once again. The witch's hand shook a bit but Odalia forced her and pushed her harder toward the already hurt body, cutting the tan skin, "Amity, listen to me... Mmm, fuck!" Luz tried again, fighting the pain away, forcing it into the back of her mind, "You're stronger than that..." Another cut made her stop.
