The morning came on faster than anticipated. Amity cracked her eyes open and shut them immediately. Her head pounded with the worst headache of her life. She finally managed to look around and noticed Luz snoring delicately on her right.

"Weird... She never sleeps on her stomach," She thought worriedly, and finally sat up to inspect her girlfriend. She heard a fuzzy sound and her sight got blurry for a moment.

"Fuck..." She placed a hand on her head and groaned in pain. She shook it off quickly when she heard a slight whimper from her girlfriend, "Luz? Baby, are you okay?" She leaned over and immediately covered her mouth when she noticed the state her girlfriend's tee was in. Memories from the day before flashed before her eyes, "Oh, no, no, no, no..." She mumbled, realizing what she had done.

With great difficulty, she got up from underneath the covers and despite the overwhelming weakness, stumbling through the mess on the floor, she made her way to Luz's side of the bed. She did her best to be as delicate as possible when she removed the torn tee and she could feel herself tear apart as well.

"I'm so s-s-sorry, Luz..." Amity whispered and she drew the spell circle in the air that broke almost immediately and so did the witch.

"Okay, calm down..." She thought, trying to remind herself that her girlfriend's well-being was on the line.

Amity took a calming breath and, despite the urge to cry, completed a Healing Spell. The cuts were cleaned up and they closed in a matter of minutes. Luz's snores died, and the human finally calmed down, making the witch realize how uncomfortable those cuts must have been for her girlfriend.

"I'm so sorry..." She repeated, caressing the scarred face, feeling guilt paralyzing her more than the drugs she was given the day before. She was so wrapped up in her thoughts she did not hear a delicate knock on the door.

"Amity?" Danielle's voice dragged the witch out of her guilt-ridden stupor.

The said woman looked up and the golden, swollen eyes met the green ones. The pointy ears slanted in shame and her back was shaken with another sob. Amity looked back at Luz and she could not control herself anymore.

The witch shook her head, her sobs turned into a cry, and before she let herself lose control, she got up, covered her lips to muffle the wail, and passed by the worried doctor, running away.

"Oh, Honey," Danielle tried to stop the witch but Amity ran to the bathroom and slammed the door behind her.

"W-what?" The sudden sound pulled Luz from her slumber, making her fall off the bed when she tried to sit up, "Dang, it," She groaned, before sitting up on the floor, scratching her head. She looked up at the doctor and immediately realized she was half-naked. She blushed heavily and grabbed a random shirt lying on her floor, "What's going on?" She asked and felt her neck tingle, "Amity?" She asked, looking up at the other woman again.

"She panicked after healing you..." Luz quickly got up, and stumbled across the room, putting on the shirt she held in her hand, "Wait, Luz!" Danielle whisper-yelled behind her ward but it did not stop the worried woman who took a calming breath when she made it to the bathroom door and knocked delicately.

"Amity, Baby, please let me in," Luz asked, mustering the most supportive tone, "I can feel how stressed you are, please don't shut me out," She continued and tried to not be discouraged by receiving no answer, "Let me be there for you... Even if just to sit in the same room... I know your intrusive thoughts tell you otherwise but I know you can feel through the Bond how much I care about you," She added and waited patiently. Just when she was about to speak up again, she heard a delicate click, and the door opened slightly.
