Episode 89: Morality

  Barbra-
  "These kids are tougher than we thought." I said.
  "I have a plan." Tabitha said.
  "Let's hear it." I said.
  "We know the secret to Jade's knowledge now thanks to Enji...we bomb Arcadia and we take the Jareau family in the scuffle. We get back the tech that's ours, if they end up brain dead...who really cares." Tabitha said.
  I sighed. "Indeed, I suppose we should get to working on building the bomb." I said.
  "I'll have Xia start working on it." Tabitha said.
  "Thank you, my love." I said, and we kissed on the lips.

  Xia-
  "Are they ok, Toya?" Silver asked, as I rubbed Toya's shoulder blades.
  "Yeah, they're alive. That's all I care about." Toya said, as Fuyumi and Natsuo slept on their beds.
  Toya turned to me and wrapped his arms around me, melting into my arms. "It's ok baby." I said, as I shushed him and brushed my fingers through his black dyed hair.
  "I'm gonna kill that little twerp one way or another for what he did to mom and dad." Toya said.
  "No offense, but you saw that attack. You'd die, and I don't know about you...but I don't want to lose my best friend." Silver said.
  Toya sighed. "You're right...it'd be freakin' suicide to go against him." Toya said, as he held me closer to him.
  "I didn't even know he had that kind of power." I said, still in shock.
  "I don't think any of us were ready for that." Tomura said, as he pet a weird looking cat-like creature straight outta Heaven.
  "Seriously, what the hell kinda shit did Dr. Mort do to us on The Ark." Damien said, throwing his knife into a bullseye.
  "It's a good thing the bastard is dead, let's just say that." Toya said, as he stood back up and took my hand.
  "Xia, we need you." Tabitha said.
  I clenched my fist. "For what?" Toya asked, defensively as he stood between Tabitha and I.
  "To build a bomb, she's the only one with any kind of knowledge on good explosives and Arcadia." Tabitha said.
  We all gasped. "We're bombing Arcadia now!?" Lyon asked.
  "Aren't the 17 of you tired of losing?" Tabitha asked.
"At the cost of hundreds of innocent lives!?" I asked.
"We're villains, when did you start to care so much Xia?" Tabitha asked.
"I think her time in Arcadia made her soft." Lee said.
"These are people just trying to survive like us, we don't need to resort to a bomb!" I yelled.
"I think we all just need to calm down before..." Silver began, getting between me and our older sisters, but they punched the shit out of him.
"Silver!" Tomura shouted, as they all ran to him.
"I'm fine." He said, as Lyon helped him up and he wiped his mouth.
"I'll make this easy for you then. Build the bomb or we kill all of your friends. Starting with your little boyfriend." Barbra said, and they held guns to everyone.
"No!" I shouted.
"Don't do it Xia!" Toya shouted, as all of Barbra's people pinned him to the ground.
  "Daddy and mommy aren't here to protect you anymore you little prince. I run the show now." Barbra said.
  "Grr!!!" Toya growled, fighting so hard, and they kept hurting him.
"Toya, stop. I can't lose any of you." I said, clenching my fist.
  "Xia..." Toya began, his voice breaking.
"No Xia!" Jeanette shouted.
I clenched my fist. "Good girl." Barbra said, gripping my shoulders.
"GET YOUR FUCKING HANDS OFF OF HER!" Toya yelled, trying to break free.
They electrocuted him and he screamed out. "Stop Barbra! Stop! I'm helping you, just leave them alone!" I shouted.
"Take them to the dungeons for this betrayal, oh and just in case you get any ideas..." Barbra began, and she snapped her fingers.
The 16 of them, plus Fuyumi and Natsuo, had collars put around their necks. "These will detonate if you try anything smart." Barbra said.
I tried not to tear up, but it couldn't be helped.
"No! No! NO! NO! XIAAAAAA!" Toya yelled, as they dragged them all away.
Barbra gripped my shoulders. "Wonderful, you always were so protective of them." Barbra said, and she took me to a dank, dark, cramped room with mechanical parts and chained my hands and bare feet to the walls. "In case you get any ideas of escaping." Barbra said.
I shuttered, gripping the chipped ground. She shut the door and I pulled my black and violet hair up into a messy bun as I began to work in the unsafe circumstances.

Toya-
They chained us all up in the cells, barefoot. I was trying to break out. "Grr...DAMNIT!!!" I roared.
"Why is it always her." Jeanette began, her lips quivering.
"Don't cry Jeanette, we'll figure this out... somehow." Amai said.
"I'm not usually the one to question your leadership Tomura but...is this really what you want?" Silver asked.
"No." Tomura said.
"We should have just left and went on our own when we had the chance, and now we're stuck under Barbra's thumb until she dies." Damien said
"Oh I don't think she'll be alive much longer." Tomura said.
"What makes you say that?" Cana asked.
"If she even touches Xia or Xia gets hurt or sick in anyway...Toya will kill Barbra and anyone that follows her." Tomura said.
"Damn straight." I said, clenching my fists...I didn't want to go through this shit again.

  Xia-
  I wiped some sweat off of my forehead and coughed, vomiting. "Fuck." I whispered, wiping the vomit from my mouth as I continued to work.

  Barbra-
  We watched from behind the glass. "You're sure the radiation won't kill her?" Nyssa asked.
  "I'm sure. Xia has a high radiation tolerance, I made sure of that, she'll be fine. She may get sick, but she won't die...besides, I want to see what else her beautiful brain can make." I said.
  "You're cruel as usual, My Lady." Slade said.
  "She is the reason we've survived this long...though she doesn't know it. In a lot of ways, her and Jade are very similar. That's why it was so hard for us to survive while she was undercover. We rely on Xia...just as Arcadia relies on Jade." I said.
  Nyssa smiled. "It is quite interesting how their stories parallel one another." Nyssa said.
  I smiled darkly. "In more ways than one." I said, and we laughed evilly.
