Chapter Two

Leo's POV:

I start glaring at Mark and Y/N for some reason. "Uh big bro?" Harley says. Harley's only nine but I treat him like my little brother so he calls me "big bro". "Yeah?" I say. "You melted your spoon." Harley says. It was true. My spoon melted in my hand. Mark caught me glaring and scowls. "What are you looking at?" he says. "Nothing." I say going back to my food but once in a while I feel a bit jealous of Mark and Y/N even thought I had only just met her. I finish food and head to Bunker 9. "Knock, Knock." I hear Pipes voice. "Come in." I call. "What's wrong Leo?" asks Jason stepping in. "What do you mean?" I ask. "You're acting weird and kept staring at Y/N." Piper said. I sigh. "I know but I don't know why." I say. "Maybe you like her?" suggested Piper. I scoff. "I only just met her yesterday. There's no way I like her." I say. Jason shrugs. "Emotions are weird." Jason says. "Believe me I'd know if I liked her. She's just a friend." I say. "Okay Leo. We believe you." says Piper. "Come let's go on a ride on Festus." Jason suggests. I smile. Riding on Festus was special for us because that's how we'd traveled at first on our first mission. "Okay come on." I say pulling them by the arms. They laugh.

Y/N's POV:

I was talking with Mark when Percy interrupted. "Hey N/n." I'm having a sleepover with the gang and Nico later. You okay with that?" he asks. "Sure but I'm invited." I joke. "Duh you live there." laughs Percy. Mark just stands there awkwardly. "I'll be going." he says. "Okay anyway I need to head to archery." I say. I reach the archery range and start looking for a bow and arrow. "Looking for something?" I hear a male voice say from behind. I turn to see a blond, blue eyed boy. "I'm Will son of Apollo." he says. He extends his hand to shake and I shake it. "Y/N daughter of Poseidon. I'm looking for a bow and arrows. Do you know where they are?" I ask. "The bows are right here and the arrows are there." Will says pointing. "Thanks." I grab a bow and a hand full of arrows. I stood in front of the target and Will laughed. "Do you know how to shoot an arrow?" he asks."Um... no?" I say. "Well first of all your left leg has to be in front." he starts to teach me how to shoot an arrow and I failed... miserably. "That's... pretty good for the first time."  Will says. I stare at the two arrows in the ceiling. "Don't even try to make me feel better." I say. "Will's right thought. When I first tried it landed in a hornets nest." Percy said from behind. Will shuddered. "Yes we all remember Percy." Will sighs. "Anyway how am I going to get better?" I sigh. "Well I heard you're friends with Mark maybe he can help you." Will says. Percy frowns but before he's able to say anything Will runs to get Mark. "Percy I don't get your problem with Mark but please try and act nice when I'm around." I say. "Fine but only for you sis." he sighs. I grin. "Okay Bubbles come on." he tease. "Mark! Let go of that name." I laugh. When we were kids I used to introduce myself as Bubbles and now Mark stuck with it. By the time we finish I could at least hit the target. "Okay I think that's enough archery for me. I'm going to the lake." I say. I head to cabin and change When I got to the lake I dive in. I swim underwater feeling everything relax in my body. After a while I got out and go change but bump into Leo. "Oops sorry Leo." I say. "Nah it's okay." he says. " Where are you going off in a rush?" I ask. "Well I'm going to fix Festus." he says. "Festus?" I say confused. "Oh he's my pet metal dragon" Leo said. "Oh wow! Cool you have a pet dragon." I smile."You know when I'm done fixing him I can give you a ride." he says. Amusement and excitement fill my eyes. "I'll take up on that offer." I say. "You should flying with Repair boy is first class. If you don't believe me ask Piper and Jason." he says. I laugh. "We'll see... Repair boy?" I ask. "Oh it's something my friends call me." he says. "Well see you in the forest Repair boy." I say and with that I leave.

Leo's POV:

I was tending Festus's control disk when I hear a rustling in the leaves. I put the control disk back  in and Festus's eyes glow lighting up the surroundings. "Who's there?" I say stepping toward the bush when Y/N comes out. "Hi I wa-" she starts but Festus opens his mouth. "Hey- Hey calm down." I step in front of him "She's a friend. She isn't gonna hurt you." I say. Festus closed his mouth at "friend". "Um yeah sorry about that." I clear my throat and rub the back of my neck. Y/N pets Festus on the nose. "So this is Festus?" she asks. "Um yeah. The biggest, bestest, bronzest dragon ever!" I joke trying to lighten the mood. The air was still tense so I stayed silent. Festus nuzzles Y/N and she laughs. I smile. "Wanna help fix Festus?" I ask. "Sure... but I don't know anything about machines." she says. I laugh. "That's okay." I say and get back to work and an awkward silence falls. "So what's the story with Festus?" she asks. I look up. No one has asked that question either because they knew it or they didn't care. "Well Festus was an old machine and the old counselor of the Hephaestus was able to find him and turn him on and tame him. But then Festus turned wild but I was able to fix him. But then he broke and I was able to make him the head of the Argo II my ship. I thought he wasn't able to work again but Piper somehow was able to awaken him." I explain. She stays silent petting Festus as I work. 'She doesn't care.' I thought. She smiles. "I guess that makes him more special." she says. "Yeah I guess so." I smile.
