Chapter 12

Y/N's POV:

I was sitting in the Hades Cabin with Will, Nico, MARK AND Lily. We'd become a friend group over the year since Mark spent a lot of time with Celine and usually Will or Nico was babysitting her. Plus Will and Nico were really cool. "Hypothetically speaking do you think I could beat Percy?" Mark asks. I stifle a laugh. "What are you asking that?" I ask. Mark shrugs. "You're not thinking of anything are you Marcus?" Lily raises an eyebrow. "Lily, Lily, Lily you think so poorly of me." Mark mocks. "You can't but I could." Nico says. Mark rolls his eyes. "Thanks for the encouragement Di Angelo." Marks sarcastically comments. "He right thought. You chance against Percy. Nada." Will teases. "Ya'll are rude." huffs Mark. "We love you too." I laugh. "We do?" Nico asks. Will glares at him. "Yes we do." Will says. Lily snickers. "I don't understand how we're friends." Mark sighs. "Because you're an idiot." I laugh.  "I know you are but what am I." Mark retorts.

 I shove him. "Will you have to check his ego. It's not healthy." I say. Will rolls his eyes. "At least you don't live with him." Will says. "Well you're not dating him." Lily comments. "Being friends with him is bad enough." Nico adds. Before we could mock Mark some more Celine bursts through the door the sun shining brightly behind her. "Apollo's got a favourite." I snicker. The sun shines brighter and Lily laughs.

 "Mark, Will!" Celine says excitedly. "Yeah?" Will says. "Can we go horse riding? Peter's been bragging about how fun it is and it's been sooo long since I last went." Celine says. Peter is a child of Athena who's also eight. The and Peter do everything together. Harley tags along with them too sometimes. I look at Mark. "Hey Lin. How about I take you on a ride on Coral?" I say. "Yes! Yes please." she says. We get up and Celine slips her hand into Nico's. She beams up at him and Nico smiles slightly. "She's so fond of him." Lily smiles. "It's adorable." I agree. "I guess children of Apollo and the big three make a good team." Mark nudges me. I laugh.

 We find Percy and Jason with Tempest and Blackjack. "Hey Jas, Perce." I say. They look up. "Hey guys. What're you doing here?" asks Jason. "They're taking me horse riding in the fields!" giggles Celine. Percy ruffles her hair and as she smiles the sun shines brighter. "Apollo really loves her." chuckles Jason. "Yes because he taught her how to control light." Mark rolls his eyes. Celine tugs on my sleeve. "Can we pleeeease ride Coral?" she asks. Lily laughs. "Okay you impatient child." tease Will. I head over to Coral. "Come on . We're going to the fields. Celine wants to ride you." I say to Coral. "No flying right?" Coral asks. I nod. "Well it's been some time since I had that kid on my back." Coral neighs. I laugh and open her stable door. I taker her reins and lead her to Celine whose eyes light up when she sees her. Will lifts Celine up on Coral's saddle. I keep a hold on Coral's rein as I walk Celine (and Coral) to the fields.

 "Can I ride alone? Please?" Celine asks. I look at Mark and Will. They nod. "Be careful." Nico says as I had her the reins. I help Celine out by readjusting the straps to better fit her. As we walked I kept a close eye on Celine. It seemed she had practiced since last time since sh had gotten a lot better.  "You doing alright?" I ask. "Yup! Can I go faster?" she asked flashing me a innocent smile. I sigh. "How about next time?" I say. "Oh c'mon. you know dam well she can do it." Coral complained before going faster. I roll my eyes and step back. "She's gotten better." I comment. Will nods. "She adores horses." Lily observes. Mark laughs. "I bet she's been practicing." he grins. "She has. Almost everyday she gets me or Will to come watch her." Nico says. "You take her?" I ask. Will chuckles. "Don't sound so surprised. Honestly we'd do anything for her." Will says.

"No I- Celine! Slow down you're gonna get hurt!" Nico yells. Mark snickers. "You were saying something?" he teases. Nico crosses his arms. "Shut up." he grumbles. "It's okay to care for her you know." Lily says and Nico looks at Celine and smiles. Celine and Coral come up next to us. "That was so fun!" she guesses as she gets off Coral. Coral smiles and we take Coral back to the stable as Celine brags."You had fun?" Percy asks. Celine nods eagerly. Jason and Percy laugh.

 I feel a pair of hands on my face. "Guess who." a familiar voice says. "Let me guess. The amazing Leo Valdez aka Repair Boy?" I grin. "Correct. Ding. Ding. Ding." he says like a game show host. "I missed you idiot." I grin. He me pulling me close.

"Leo! Guess what!" Celine says. Leo looks down at Celine smiling. "Yeah?" he asks. "Me and Coral rode super fast! It was so cool feeling the wind in my hair and face!" Celine gushes. Leo looks at her and grins. I look up at him and smile. He was listening to Celine and it was cute. Most boys would fake listen or get pissed off. I loved the boys at camp because they weren't like that (not even the Ares kids surprisingly). "Hey Celine? Leo says snapping me out of my thoughts. "Yeah?" Celine says. "Do you wanna ride on Festus?" Leo asks. Her eyes light up. "Really you'd do that for me? Celine asks. Leo chuckles and nods. Celine turns to Will and Mark. "Hear that? Leo wants to take me on Festus." Celine grins. Nico steps up to Leo. "You better not let her get hurt Valdez. Or I will personally send you to Tartarus."Nico warns. Leo puts his hands up in mock defeat. "Okay, Okay. I wasn't planning on it." he comments

After that me, Leo and Celine head to the woods. We eventually found Festus and hopped on him with Celine in front, Leo in the middle and me behind him. "Hold onto her or Nico will kill you. As a matter of fact so will Mark, Lily and Will." I say. "As if I don't already know that." jokes Leo. "I'm not a kid you know." grumbles Celine. "You're eight." I raise an eyebrow. "So?" Celine says. Leo laughs and Festus starts flying. Celine beams happily. "It's fun right?" I say. "It's so fun!" Celine giggles. I smile. "Look everyone looks like ants!" exclaims Celine. "Yeah they do don't they?" Leo chuckles. We fly around camp for a bit before landing. Celine jumps off and races to Mark, Will and Nico to tell them all about the experience. 

I slip my hand into Leo's as we get off and watch Celine tell them all about the ride. "That was a nice thing to do for her Leo." I say. He smiles. "Well every kid needs an experience like that." he says. "She's adorable." I smile. "And she adores you." Leo adds. I laugh. "And Nico, Mark, Will and Lily." I say. "She's lucky to have such amazing role models." Leo says. I grin. "The thing is I think Nico would do anything for her." I say. "Yeah it's cute because that's not usually how Nico is." Leo says. "I think it's because she reminds him of Bianca." I admit. "I can hear you." Nico says. I look at him and smile. "Well I'm just staying facts." I say. He sighs. "Yeah I guess she does remind me of Bianca. I mean she's like a sister to me. And I want to protect her." Nico says. Me and Leo share a smile. "Nico look!" Celine says as she bends light. "That was cool right?" she asks. "Really cool." Nico nods. Will smiles and roll his eyes playfully. "Come on Lin. Let's go to the infirmary and check on things." he says. "Yay! I can be your helper." Celine giggles. He ruffles her hair. "You sure can." Will chuckles. They walk off to the infirmary. "She reminds me you too Lily and Mark. She has Mark's excitement and engird and Lily's kindness and love." I say. Mark and Lily laugh. "That's because we're amazing." Mark says. "At least she doesn't have your cockiness." Nico rolls his eyes. Lily laughs. 

"Come on. Let's go find the others. I haven't seen Pipes and Annie yet." I say pulling Leo along. "I can walk myself." he says. "Yes but you're so sloooow." I tease. He rolls his eyes playfully. I spot Annie and Pipes with Jason and Percy. I let go of Leo and rush to Annie and Pipes. I hug them from behind. "N/N!" they grin. "It's been soooo long!" I laugh. "Too long." agrees Piper. "We to do girls night or day with Hazel and Lily." Annie says. "Yeah and no boys allowed." I glare at Percy. "Don't worry officer I wouldn't dare." he laughs. Annabeth chuckles. "I hope not Mr Jackson." Piper says in mocking tone. "What about me Officer Mclean? You wouldn't mind would you?" teases Jason. "Actually Mr Grace I have been shown you... distract  Officer Mclean." I say. Leo snickers and Jason blushes while Percy laughs. Pipes shoves me playfully. "You're not denying it Officer Mclean." Leo teases. "Leo do you have a death wish?" groans Percy. Leo shrugs. "Valdez you're an idiot." I say. "That you love." he retorts. "Never said I didn't." I shrug humming. Leo laughs and rolls his eyes and I grin.

A/N: Sorry I haven't updated in a while. I have been so busy with school plus my first few drafts were crap. I think I wrote two drafts before I came up with this. Also I've started a new story so writing two stories at once is kinda hard. So anyway I'm hoping to do the next chapter quicker so you guys don't die from waiting.
