"Hello."

"Hey."

"Hey."

"HEY!!"

The man in front of you passed an embarrassed smile to others before taking a seat down before you. You pierce through your blurry vision, just to find a handsome man looking at you.

You sit up straight when he noticed you were pretending to examine him with your eyes closed; a red tint formed on your face. He looked heavenly gorgeous; not too rich but modest.

"Hey." You respond after he raises his brows and passes you a wide smile. No doubt, his charisma already worked wonders on you.

"Well, we should've just stopped by somewhere nicer. I don't think this place serves dumplings, do they?" He speaks and you keep nodding to all his statements; enchanted by how melodic he sounds.

"Did I make you wait much, y/n?" He asks and you nod again, like the past two minutes.

"Oh, Lord. Was I too late? I am so sorry-" you cut him off, finally realizing what act you've been doing since he ever began talking.

"No, no, no, no." You were clearly nervous and off-guard right now. "You weren't late. I was just tired after a long day's work. So-- um...I was just-" You reassure the beauty sitting across the table.

"Uh, okay." He chuckles and you pray that he doesn't know you're nervous just yet.

"What do we order then?" You ask. You were hungry after working on two stories in a line; damn, being a reporter was no easy.

"You look beautiful today." H/n says instead of ordering food. You look down, even blush probably.

"Thanks." You pause for a second and observe him up to down; his hair falling perfectly in place, his eyes looking absolutely mesmerizing while skimming through the menu card.

..

Your mom had forced you to go on this date which of course wasn't your first. You had been dragged into this even before when you said you didn't want to marry.

'You're 27 now! This is the right time to marry!' Your mom used to state whenever you mentioned your wish to not go on any stupid blind date.

You've always trusted the process and believed that right things will come to you automatically, at the right time.

While you suggested your mother to wait, once, she had already fixed a blind date for you and helpless as you were, you sat on the hotel table, listening to the self-centered boy rant random stuff for forty-five minutes straight.

You of course rejected that unique piece of shit and the quest for the 'right person' according to your mom, began. So, here you were with your proper fifth date; with H/n.

..

"Well, I only dressed casual though. I thought this wasn't a formal date-" You continue as he looks up at you; your eyes blinking as his hazel ones meet with them.

"I'm sure you'd love to do it better next time." His positive aura never fails to disappoint you in any way. Wait. What?

"Next time?" You ask, confused.

All of the guys you've met before were either rejected by you or rejected you themselevs 'cause you were too dry towards them due to the disinterest in getting married.

H/n hums, looking at the menu card; takes a moment to process your shocked response.

"There's gonna be a next time?" You ask in disbelief at first. "Like... like...us?"
