Kiawe's POV:
Me and Gladion first met properly when we battled in the semifinals of the Manalo Conference. And after Ash left to go back to Kanto, we became true rivals.
Down the line, we both started to develop mutual feelings for each other which then led to when I took him to the top of Wela volcano and asked him out.
We're boyfriends... but sometimes I wish we weren't. I understand and accept that I am generally the more dominant person in the relationship, but I just hate how much he chooses not to contribute.
He's so cold and distant and if you upset him, he can actually pose as a threat as much as I can.
So one day, I went over to his house and made a plan of how I wanted the day to plan out. I knocked on the door, and luckily he was the one to answer.
"Hello Kiawe," He muttered.
"Hey Gladi, want to go on a date?" I asked.
"I guess I don't have anything better to be doing..." He responded, "So we're are we going?"
"You can decide!" I answered.
He seemed taken aback by this, which was very understandable.
"W-what?" He questioned.
"I know we always do what I wanna do, so I'll let you decide so I can learn more about you!" I explained.
My blonde haired boyfriend nodded and then took a minute to think about his decision.
"Well, you always take us to hot places which give me a headache, so I was thinking maybe we could go to a cold place?" He suggested.
The thought of going to a cold place struck through me like an arrow to the chest.
"O-oh s-sure! Which c-cold place?" I asked.
He gave me a smug smile and then responded, "Mount Lanakila."
I felt myself internally scream when I heard the word "mount," I just hate that place so much!
"Oh sure! But we don't have any-" I was about to say, but then Gladion ran into the house and came back with winter clothing.
"Here you go!" He said softly and handed me a large coat and gloves and hat.
We both put them on and then we both sat on my Charizard. I told it where to go and then it flew up very quickly, as always. Gladion wasn't prepared for it, bit I held his hand tightly for reassurance.
Because of how quick my Charizard is at flying, we got to Ula'ula Island with in an hour rather than two. We landed in the not so cold bit nearby so it's flame wouldn't go out and then trudged over.
"Uhhhh I hate large, winter coats so much!" I whined, "They make me feel so uncomfortable!"
"Well it makes me uncomfortable when I'm forced to where a t-shirt and shorts in the summer, so suck it up and keep on walking!" Gladion yelled and pushed me to keep on walking.
Soon enough, we were then in the snow. It was so cold, but I knew I couldn't stop because I wanted to please my boyfriend. But that didn't mean I wasn't going to not bring some fun to it...
I picket up a large snowball and when Gladion wasn't looking, I throwed it at him. He got mad immediately and then tried to throw one back at me. We did this for a while until we decided it was best to continue climbing, as he did say he wanted to get to the top.
An hour passed and with our exhausted legs unable to take it anymore, we sat down at the top of the mountain. I had never realised how beautiful the view is.
"I come here sometimes when I'm sad," The blonde haired boy admitted, "The view makes me calm down a lot."
"Yeah," I responded.
After a while of staring up into the sky while cuddled up with each other, Gladion decided it was best to now head back.
"So, how are we going to get back down?" I asked.
Gladion presented to me a massive sledge and then responded, "With this!"
"Wow, never expected you were a thrillseeker!" I said in a shocked tone, but it immediately turned back into confidence, "Let's do this!"
So with that, Gladion sat at the front and I sat at the back, gripping onto his shoulders. The sledge began to tip and slide down the mountain, and I screamed as it did so.
Meanwhile, my boyfriend stayed calm and collected as he was more experienced. It was a little embarrassing for me, bit at least I got to see his soft side show today...
