Ash's POV:
I can't believe I just beat Leon and became monarch of the World Coronation Series. He was unbeatable and somehow... I beat him.
After all of the celebrations, I decided to head back to Pallet Town as I just needed a break from all of the fame. So I got on Dragonite's back and flew back.
But when I arrived next to my house, I found a shadowy figure blocking the door to my house. So with my fists clenched, I marched over.
To my suprise, the person waiting there was Gary, my crush. I immediately unclenched and started to blush as I stared into his beautiful brown eyes.
"Hey Ashy-boy, good to see you!" Gary said with what looked like a genuine smile.
"Hi Gary, what are you doing here?" I asked.
"You just beat Leon, the strongest trainer in Galar, of course I had to stop by!" He replied.
"Wow, I'm honestly suprised you would do that after everything that has happened..." I mumbled.
"I know I've been a bit of a jerk ever since you started your journey but, I do genuinely care for you!" Gary explained.
"Really?" I asked, my eyes lighting up.
"Yeah, and I also have something else to say..." The brown haired boy admitted.
The moment all felt so magical until I looked over and noticed how Misty and Gary were spying at us from a bush. My crush looked very obviously annoyed by this, but he still continued regardless.
"Ash, you're kind, caring, annoying, reckless but you never give up and are determined to make your dreams come true, and I really like that about you!" He said, blushing as he did.
There was an awkward silence since I didn't know what to reply with. But when I finally did find the right words, he took them right out of my mouth.
"Will you be my boyfriend?" He asked.
My face went as red as a Tomato Berry and I was shaking so much but that's all because I was so overwhelmed with joy.
"Yes!" I exclaimed.
And with that, I launched myself into a hug with him and I heard Misty and Brock cheer us on...
