I stood in front of the full-length mirror, taking in the sight of myself in my stunning white dress. The fabric shimmered like a clear night sky sprinkled with stars, catching the light with every slight movement. The dress gracefully cascaded to the floor, its elegant train trailing behind me, enchanting anyone who laid eyes on it.

The design featured an exquisite off-the-shoulder neckline, allowing my collarbone to gleam delicately. Intricate, knitted floral patterns adorned the sleeves, which flowed gracefully down my arms like delicate vines. The silky texture of the dress felt like a gentle caress against my skin, a perfect choice for this momentous occasion.

This gown was not just any dress; it was personally designed for me, capturing the essence of who I am on this extraordinary day. As I looked at my reflection, excitement bubbled within me. Today was the day I had dreamed of for so long—I was finally getting married.

I wasn't showing much yet, but there was a small bump forming under my dress. At twenty-two weeks along in my pregnancy, the excitement was palpable, especially since Michael had taken it upon himself to baby-proof our entire ranch. His enthusiasm about becoming a father was heartwarming; he often said that fatherhood and being a good husband were the greatest accomplishments he could ever dream of.

As I rubbed my belly, a smile spread across my face while I looked at my Mama and my two best friends, Roxy and Rico. Their support meant the world to me, and I felt incredibly grateful to have them by my side during this special time in my life. When it came time to choose my maid of honor, I found myself torn between my two best friends, each of whom held a special place in my heart. Ultimately, I turned to my Mama for guidance. She suggested a solution that felt perfect: Roxy and Rico both agreed to step in as my bridesmaids, and that made the moment even more special.

As I prepared for my wedding day, a bittersweet wave of emotions washed over me. Bill, a dear friend and steadfast supporter, would be walking me down the aisle in place of my father, who had left this world long before I could share this joyous occasion with him. With each step, I could almost feel my father's spirit surrounding me, his love palpable in the air. I imagined him watching from above, his heart swelling with pride at the woman I had become and the journey that had brought me to this moment. It was a poignant reminder that even in his absence, he would always be a part of my life, guiding me forward.

I missed Michael terribly—four days had gone by since we last saw each other due to all the last-minute wedding planning that kept us apart. Although I could hear his voice through phone calls, it just wasn't enough. What I truly longed for was to be wrapped in his arms, savoring the warmth and comfort that only he could provide. Every moment apart intensified my anticipation; I couldn't wait to finally say "I do" and begin our life together.

"I'm so proud of you baby and I know your father is too." Mama says coming closer to me. "You found a good man. That loves you unconditionally. You found true love."
