"Breaking news. I'm coming in live from the New York City Time Square, where real time footage of a drone flying above the borders of two neighboring African countries is playing. As of now, we do not know the reason for this sudden and strange footage but it seems as thou-"
A loud familiar whistle sounds throughout the whole Time Square. A sound that was last heard during World War II fills the ears of the people standing in Time Square, rendering them silent. A sound very much similar to the whistling sound of a bomb dropping.
Less than a handful of seconds later, a flash of light is seen dropping from the sky in the footage playing. It hits the borders of the African countries and goes off. The bomb causes a massive explosion and the footage cuts off.
Silence fills the square but then one scream of terror causes chaos to break loose.
"Ladies and gentlemen! We have just witnessed the bombing of two African countries! We don't know what's happening and chaos is erupting all over the square but from my own judgment it looked very much like an electronite bomb!"
That night, news broadcasts all over the world went crazy. All reporting one thing: the bombing of not two but multiple African countries.
At this rate everyone was expecting the whole continent to fall victim to this unknown attack. And many feared they'd be next.
With the continent that mothered mankind gone, the Earth became unstable. Gravity no longer followed Newton's law, the air became toxic as oxygen levels dropped and it seemed as though a mass extinction was only seconds away.
Years passed and numerous wars broke out. Countries formed alliances, fighting against each other, accusing the other of genocide and the complete annihilation of Africa.
Paranoia and power reared their ugly heads, staking claim over humanity. Pushing for more wars even as an extinction drew nearer.
But when has death ever stopped a man's greed for power and their paranoia?
Soon some countries fell and became history and only three alliances remained. Terra, Delta and the EA. Each claimed territories in different lands and built societies from scratch.
A constant game of mafia began, with many wondering who the culprit was. Wondering who wiped out Africa.
