I walk towards Railey and once I'm within arms length her smile falls off and she starts touching the front of my hoodie. "What the hell happened to your hoodie?" She asks, a bit panicked.
I snort and take off my hoodie. Luckily I have a sweater underneath and there's heating inside this building, which is weird now that I think about it. This place...it's like they took different pieces of nature and shoved them into this build.
I mean, I'm literally standing on heated floors with a roof over my head but there's a green, lush forest a few meters away from me that also has a roof above it. It's kind of like a greenhouse? But instead of flowers there's a forest inside it...I have no idea how to describe this place.
"Naomi. I asked you a question, stop distracting yourself with your surroundings." Railey says in a stern tone. I look back at her, feeling guilty about being caught.
"What the hell happened to your hoodie?" Railey asks.
I look at the forest in front of me and another snort escapes me as I think back to the events that took place. "A girl who likes Raphael thought I had a sex crush on him and got mad and nearly attacked me." I say casually, as if it's no big deal.
"The hell? Nearly attacked, she basically maimed you! Your hoodie is all torn up!" Railey takes a breath and tries to calm down. "Did she at least get punished?"
"Nope. The guard said that what she did is not classified as an attack or an act of violence, so she's a free little wolf pup." I say calmly.
"What!? But she-" Railey gets interrupted as the speakers switch on. "We'll talk about this later." Railey says to me before focusing on the speakers.
"Good day to you all. A list of optional subjects have been sent to each one of you. Please check your smart watches and send your choice within the next 10 minutes, after which an instruction on what to do next will be sent. Thank you."
Once the announcement ends, pings sound throughout the room. I check my smart watch and read the list they sent. ______________________________________

I type in archery without thinking too much about it. It's always been something I've been interested in and it's actually exciting to finally be able to do it.
"Which one did you pick?" I hear Railey ask me. I look up at her and see her press the send button on her watch then look at me. "Archery." I reply.
"Seriously? I picked archery too." She says then pretends to pull an imaginary bow and shoot an arrow. "I know for a fact that it's going to be so much fun." She says clearly excited.
