The man moves around on the stage, it seems like he's talking to himself but maybe he's on a call, somehow.
After a few minutes the lights dim and the stage remains the only thing illuminated by light. The man stops moving around and stands in the center again.
“Okay we shall now begin.” He announces. The screens above him switch on and display a weird logo with the name TriTerra below it. I don't know why but just the mention of that name makes me feel uneasy.
“We are TriTerra, a government funded organization aimed at improving the standard of living of the current Sectors we live in.” He flicks his wrist to the side and another picture slides onto the screen.
My eyes widen slightly. I've never seen any place like that before.
“This is Terra. A new Sector that we have created. We plan for it to be the first of many more Sectors which will improve the standard of living in our alliance. It falls under Project Terra which has a similar motive.” He pauses then looks through the seats of teenagers.
His eyes narrow as he scans past some seats. Once he's satisfied with what he sees, he continues his presentation.
“Project Terra is a project that works to make the uninhabitable, habitable. Over the years our population has increased considerably and because of that, housing spaces and resources are being depleted faster than planned. This project expands areas that are unoccupied, in order to increase housing spaces, resources and the standard of living. Our first target is Antarctica, which is why you are all here. You are all here, with the consent of your parents, to partake in the testing of the first Terra Sector.”
