Loki And The Chambermaid
Chapter 1
One beautiful summer day on Asgard, Queen Frigga was walking with her chambermaids, as they headed back to Frigga's chamber. This was a special day of sorts because the queen was getting a new chambermaid since one of her original chambermaids had passed on to Vallahalla. This chambermaid was a young, beautiful, blue-eyed, auburn-haired woman. The other chambermaids were training the young woman in the ways of a royal chambermaid. As they walked towards Queen Frigga's chambers, Prince Loki was walking towards them. The young woman glanced up at the prince and their eyes locked on to each other. The young woman secretly had a crush on the prince, which she knew was foolish because he would never have feelings for someone like her. When Loki saw the new chambermaid, he was instantly drawn to her, but he didn't know why. This was just a mere chambermaid, nobody of importance. Still there was something about her that intrigued him, and he knew that he had to know more about her.
Loki continued his walk towards the royal throne room to speak with his father, King Odin, the All Father. Loki's mind kept going back to the beautiful chambermaid. He didn't know why he couldn't get her off of his mind, she was just a chambermaid but yet he couldn't forget her. When Loki reached his father's throne room, he told the royal guards to let him in, which they did as they were told. Loki entered the throne room, where his father was sitting on his throne. Loki tells his father, "Father, I am here. What's wrong?" Odin answers his son, "Loki, it is time for you to choose a queen. So, I have arranged a ball for you to meet all of the eligible princesses in the nine realms. Loki said, "Father, I am not ready to be married. Besides, I want to choose my own bride." Odin replies, "Well, my son you have not done so. Your brother, Thor, has already taken a bride. Now it's your turn my son." Loki tried to reason with his father, but Odin just ignored his son's protests. Loki walked out of the throne room and went to see his mother. Perhaps he will see the new chambermaid again.
