Chapter 14
Sasha tells Loki, "I'm not sure if I know who you are referring to." Loki took her hands and held them in his and he said, "It's you darling. It has always been you, ever since I first saw you that day." Sasha said, "But when you first met me, I was just a chambermaid, nobody of importance to a prince." Loki said, "Don't say that about yourself because you are very important to me. That's why I chose you to be my wife." Sasha just shook her head in disbelief. She was having a hard time believing that a prince would want to marry her but yet he does. Loki sees Sasha looking confused and says, "I'm not joking with you Sasha. I really want to marry you, if you will have me." Sasha said, "What do you mean if I would have you? I should be asking you that question?" Loki said, "So, I take that as a yes." Sasha smiled at Loki and said, "Yes, I'll marry you." Loki's eyes lit up with happiness. Then he pulled her into his arms and kissed her. Loki raises his head up and tells Sasha, "Let's go and tell my parents." Sasha hesitated for a moment and Loki asked her, "What's wrong darling?" Sasha said, "I don't think that your father will be very happy about us getting married. I think your father believes that I'm not good enough for you and.....he might be right." Loki looks at Sasha and tells her, "Don't worry about my father because mother will take care of him and as far as you not being good enough, don't think that because you are." Loki stands up then reaches out for Sasha's hands. She reaches up and takes his hands. Then they walked through the crowd to get to Odin and Frigga. Frigga saw them coming through the crowd to them. Frigga tells Odin, "Now Odin don't do anything to embarrass them. You know what they are coming to say." Odin said, "Yes, I do my queen."
As Loki and Sasha walked through the crowd, the princesses were trying to get Loki away from Sasha, but Loki refused their advances and held on to Sasha even tighter. When they finally reach Odin and Frigga, Loki says, "Mother, Father, I want to tell you something." Odin asked, "What is it my son?" Loki said, "I have found my future wife." Odin said, "You have my son and who have you chosen for your future wife?" Loki pulled Sasha to him and said, "I chose Sasha as my future wife, princess, and queen." Odin looked at Sasha and asked, "Do you feel the same way about my son, Sasha?" Sasha answered, "Yes, I do your highness." Odin looked over at Frigga who was watching his every move and said, "So, be it." Odin taps his staff on the ground to get everyone's attention. When everybody stopped what they were doing, Odin made the announcement. "Fellow Asgardians and guests, I have an announcement. My son, Prince Loki has chosen his future bride." Odin motions for Loki and Sasha to come and stand beside him. "Prince Loki will wed Sasha of Asgard. The ceremony will take place here in the royal throne room in four weeks from today." Everybody cheered for them, even the other princesses who wanted him for themselves. When the prince Niflheim heard the announcement, he got mad because he wanted Sasha for himself.
