Chapter 2
When Loki got to his mother's chambers, he knocked on the door. When the door opened, he saw the new chambermaid. Frigga asked the chambermaid, "Who is it my dear?" The chambermaid said, "It's your son, Prince Loki." The chambermaid steps aside and lets Loki in. All Loki could do was just stare at her. He couldn't get over how beautiful she was. Frigga comes around the corner and sees Loki standing there looking at her chambermaid. The chambermaid never once looked up at Loki. She kept her head down, which Loki didn't want her to do. Frigga said, "Oh, my son. What brings you here today to visit with your mother?" Loki looked away from the chambermaid and looked at his mother. Loki replies, "Mother I need to talk to you about father." Frigga said, "Ok." Frigga turns to her chambermaid and tells her. "That will be all for now, Sasha. You may leave." Sasha bowed before the queen and said, "As you wish my queen." With that Sasha leaves the room. Now Loki knew the chambermaid's name, it was.
Sasha. Loki thought to himself what a beautiful name for a beautiful woman.
Frigga noticed how her son was acting around Sasha. Her being a mother she could tell that her youngest son had feelings for the new chambermaid. Frigga asked Loki, "What is it that you wanted to talk to me about, my son." Loki quickly snapped out of his trance. Loki said, "It's about father. He wants me to get married but I'm not ready to and I especially don't want to marry someone that I meet at a ball. I want to get to know a person first before making her my princess and queen." Frigga said, "I see that your father has already told you of his plans. He told me that he was going to wait but I see that he did not." Loki said, "Mother, can't you talk to father and tell him that I'm not ready to get married?" Frigga replies, "I can try my son, but you know that once your father has made up his mind, then that's it."
Loki turned and looked at the direction that Sasha had gone. Frigga asked Loki, "Is there something else that I can help you with my son?" Loki turned towards his mother and answered, "No, mother." Frigga asked, "Are you sure my son?" Loki asked his mother, "How long have you had your new chambermaid?" Frigga said, "You mean Sasha?" Loki shook his head yes. Frigga smiled at her son, "Not long my son. In fact, she is still in training. She came highly recommended though. So, I think she will do just fine." Frigga continued, "She is very young, but I still think that she'll do just fine. In fact, she's around your age, my son, just a little bit younger." Loki just kept staring into the distance. Frigga asked her son, "Loki, would you like to meet Sasha?" Loki shook his head, "No, mother that's ok. I don't want to keep her from her duties." Frigga said, "Well, right now my son, she has no duties to perform. So, I could introduce you to her." Frigga watched Loki's face for some expression that he wanted to meet her chambermaid. When she saw his facial expression changed to one that was intriguing, she walked over to the door and said, "Sasha, come here for a moment." Loki realized what his mother had done, and he said, "Mother you don't have to...." Then Sasha walks into the room and Loki loses his train of thought. For the first time in his life Loki didn't know what to say.
