Day 2 - Truth

Verity: It's already past midnight, and nobody is tired?

Namida: You all had some pretty good stories to share, so I guess that helps with dealing agaisnt sleep.

Joshua: Good? You always say that to silly and trivial things! It's actually getting frustating, y'know...

Lucien: Since everyone good stories, besides Joshua, what are we planning for now?

Joshua: You are targetting me, dude! Does it count if I make Lucien sleep with violence?

"The group scoffs at his request, Lucien being the louder one to only tease him further. Scoffing actually made the situation somehow awkwarder, since he didn't react at all."

. . .

Joshua: Stop giving me that stare. What's wrong with my story, anyways? Too realistic for your wacky minds?

Namida: Uh huh... The plot was interisting, really! I liked the assasin part, but the ending just didn't fit for me.

Verity: I'm not considered silly by people, but yes. The end of your tale was quite weird! To say at least.

Joshua: Fine! I suppose it was, just a bit...
I had to improvise.

"As they were actually starting to have a serious conversation for once, Lucien started to loudly eat snacks, killing the tense atmosphere."

Namida: Again? Are you always this hungry or something during sleepovers...

Lucien: No, I made myself hungry on purpose so I could eat more for free.

Verity: I can't believe I'm saying this, but can we play videogames? Getting too sleepy...

Joshua: Are you serious?!

"Namida quickly turned on the TV, finding a racing game to maybe plot the most devious and vile plan of his."

Verity: But it's singleplayer?

Namida: Don't worry about it too much, you are controlling the car right now...
[She wasn't]

"The minutes quickly passed throught, and his plan was completed. In fact, she didn't suspect about a single thing. Lucien and Joshua would quickly glance at the scene, trying their best to not laugh at her experience."

Verity: Eh? Is that all of the game? I thought it was harder for starters, not going to lie.

Namida: See? Just trust mee... It's not like you got tricked.

Joshua: Totally not, indeed... and by the way, he did trick you.

"Verity stared at them in pure shock, she couldn't believe her best friends betrayed her just like that, in one of her first videogames, even."

Namida: I'm going to get something. Deal with her, alright?

"He left the room, analyzing how dark his father's apartment really was. In the end of the hallway, there was a faint light passing through the door. Namida just ignored it for now and went to the kitchen."

? ? ?: Still awake?

. . .

Namida: Y-yes, dad... I'm with my friends.

? ? ?: You know they are a bad influence for you. Ever since you met them, you have been getting worse grades. Every year.

Namida: I know. I'm trying to get better...

? ? ?: Are you trying? Or are you just lying to me by saying that.

Namida: I... Look. It's complicated.

? ? ?: Don't dare raise your excuse your problems like that, ever. We are going to have a talk later.

He left.

"The air continued to stay overly negative, even though the figure left. Eventually, Namida walked to the kitchen to see a note on the table."

Namida: This wasn't here, in the evening. And the hand writing is familiar, too. I probably should read it.

Memory: Hey there. It's me, uncle Damon. You might have seen the bad news, but don't lose hope, not yet. I wish I could give you this message personally, but the job has been too demanding.

PS - Stay hydrated and healthy.

. . .

Namida: It's been a long time I read that name. Back to the snacks, again.

"Namida walked to the fridge, until eventually opening it. It was full of food and simple items, but he decided to pick the lemon yogurt."

He arrived again.

? ? ?: I need to go out for a few hours. Behave yourself and don't burn anything down in the meantime.

. . .

"No response. It seemed like Namida wasn't much fond of him. He waited until the figure eventually left the apartment."

Namida: I should check later on my friends, I'm sure they are having their fun.

"He grabbed a spoon before walking outside, until eventually at the porch. He stared at the starry sky, though the city lights were making it overly difficult to find any stars at all."

Namida: This view sucks! No wonder why uncle Damon moved to a rural area.

"After a few moments of struggling, Namida finally found a star. Even if it was barely visible."

. . .

Joshua: Hey dude, what are you doing here? The porch is a pretty place to eat a snack. It's all windy and stuff!

Namida: Joshua? Didn't think you would look for me. Not in here, atleast.

Joshua: Why stare the sky? You know the city lights make it so you can't see one.

"Joshua sat down on a spare chair, trying to follow Namida's point of view if he could see what he was staring at."

Joshua: There's nothing that I can see, yet your vision is clearly staring at something.

Namida: Look harder. And to be honest, it might be a skill issue that you can't see what I am observing.

Joshua: Not the gaming language again...

. . .

"The minutes passed, and there was an awkward air of silence. Joshua couldn't identify what his friend was staring at, so it made the situation even worse for the both of them."

Joshua: You do know it's like, three AM right? I'm sleepy as hell...

Namida: Fine, I know exactly what you mean. Let's go back to them.

"Joshua was the first one to get out of his chair and run into the hallway, presumably the room where the sleepover was happening. Namida was right behind him, being way slower."

. . .

Namida: They are all asleep already? Looks like they are way weaker and sleepier than I thought.

Joshua: I did say it was late, a lot. Besides, what were you doing at the porch? All that fancy scenario just to eat a snack?

"As his friend was about to speak, Joshua hid himself in the poor makeshift den, the walls of sheets being poorly positioned, and it looked like it was about to collapse at any moment."

Namida: I guess that's a night...
