Becky is laying on the bed in the on call room. Well, at this point it was more of an escape-from-reality-room.

It’s dark and it gives her some sense of peace. It’s quiet all around, except for Billy who is pacing back and forth.

He stops walking after not long and sits right beside her, focusing on her.

“Why did you call me and not Freen?” Billy asks.

“Because you were free.” Becky simply says, closing her eyes.

“Huh, that’s flattering.” Billy says sarcastically. “Besides, I wasn’t free. I had patients.”

“It's not like there aren’t other doctors who can do a better job than you.”

Billy scoffs offended, “There was an eight people trauma emergency today so it was all hands on deck. It's not like we are all girlfriends to the chief."

“Wow. That was a low blow."

Billy chuckles. “You know I'm joking.”

Becky laughs too. “Are you though?"

Billy just shrugged not answering.

"Just so you know, she is not giving me special treatment, I took the day off."

They stay in comfortable silence for a while until Billy speaks up again, titling his head to the side to glance at the girl. “What did he say? He changed his mind yet?"

Becky frowns, “No. It wasn't like I had any hope. I knew he wouldn't. I just had to try." She closes her eyes again, taking a deep breath to calm her racing heart. "Instead he just opened more wounds. And now I don't know what I'm going to do."

"Maybe you should tell Freen the truth. I'm sure she will understand."

"You know how she is like. She will run away again."

"Come on Becky. Give her some credit. She managed to stay with you long enough to get you to marry her. I would say that takes some work." He joked.

Instead of a laugh, all he gets in return is a glare from Becky.

“She’s a brain surgeon but sometimes she can’t reach her own.” Becky says.

“I’m glad to hear my soon to be wife thinks so highly of me.”

Suddenly Freen comes into the room and Becky covers her mouth while trying to hold back a laugh.

Billy instantly jumps up from the bed, “I was honestly going to the ER, Chief. But your soon to be wife dragged me down here.”

“It's okay but I would appreciate it if you could go down to the ER now.”

Billy presses his lips together and looks at her guilty, “Of course I will."

Suddenly Becky's phone rings and while she takes the call, Billy walks closer to the surgeon, looking at her intently. “Are you okay?”

Freen smiles reassuringly. “Yeah, I’m okay. Just a little overwhelmed, that’s all.”

Billy nods in understanding and sighs lightly. “Becky needs you.”

They share one last glance before Freen walks towards the bed, where Becky is now sitting up.

The brunette clearly looks sad and tired, but as she sees Freen standing in front of her - it’s just pure bliss. She brings her arms around Freen's neck and smiles happily between sweet kisses on the lips.

Freen tries to pull away without success, because Becky won’t let her. “Becky...stop..” She chuckles.

“I want to kiss you.”
