Chapter 24- A new chapter begins! The chunnin exams!

*Your pov*

-I think it's time to wake up...- I groggily muttered.
I opened my eyes to see pure darkness. Nothing more, nothing less.
Is it still nightime? No.. that's impossible..

I stood up from my sitting position and decided to walk around.

Since it's so dark I will have to be careful. Every step I take might be tricky.

I trotted around for a while but this empty space seemed to have no end. What is this? Is this a genjutsu?

I activated my sharingan but still couldn't see anything. Suddenly, a figure came out of the shadows. It was a man.

I walked closer to that person. He wore simple, casual ninja clothes. A shinobi?

I could perceive an outline of the man's profile. He had very delicate features... I looked up to see beautiful brown locks framing the sides of his face. Then I turned my gaze towards his eyes... Wait. There was no eyes.

I widened my eyes in fear.

His face was completely blank.

-What the f*ck?- the confused words came out of my mouth.

That man, whoever he was, dissolved into thin air. As if the sound of my voice was enough to trigger his dissapearance. I furrowed my brows, questions swirling inside my head. Then, out of nowhere, a pair of arms made its way on my shoulders. I flinched at the contact. These hands- I inspected- They were purely white.. A contrast to the unlighted surroundings.

I slowly turned my head behind me, to see to whom these limbs belonged to. My red blazing eyes bore into golden-yellow ones. What. What is this?!

Almost instantly, a face slowly started to appear. Now I could see it clearly. It was white in colour, just like its hands, but around the eyes... two violet strokes. I could recognize it anywhere. It was Orochimaru.

I quickly kicked him in the stomach, but he blocked my attack. So I used my chakra to bounce off of him. The man started to chuckle.

-Oh Ruri, what beautiful eyes you have...

What?

-And you're so pretty and graceful... I might just keep you to myself.. Huhuhu.

I stood there, frozen in place. I just couldn't move. As I tried to force my feet to shift, I didn't notice arms engulfing me.

-G-get away from me!- I shouted.

-AAAAH!

I practically jumped out of my bed.

What a terrifying dream.. or rather a nightmare.. Chunnin exams are coming up. And with them Orochimaru. That snake bastard. 

Suddenly, I heard someone dash into my room. I looked up to see Zabuza. Right. I totally forgot he lives with me now.

-You okay kid?- he asked- I heard screaming.

-It's fine, don't worry about it. It was just a nightmare- I replied.

-If you say so. By the way. Don't you have a meeting with your sensei?

-Yeah, that's right. But he's always late- I mumbled- And we're probably gonna do some D-rank missions anyway.

Zabuza looked at me with a smirk.

-Aren't you bored of all that? You know you're capable of bigger things. You picked up on Haku's secret ice mirror jutsu pretty well.

-It wouldn't be possible if it wasn't for your help- I said with a smile- Nevermind, I'm just going to get ready.

-Okay then. If you need me I'll be in the living room.
