First- Ibiki continued- You candidates from the Village Hidden in the Sound. Knock it off! Who told you you could fight?! You wanna be failed before we've even begun?
-Sorry- the most bandaged genin spoke up- It's our first time. Guess we're a little jumpy... sir.
Ibiki smirked.
-I'll say this once so listen up! There will be no combat between candidates, no attacking eachother without permission of your proctor. And even then, the use of fatal force is strictly prohibited! Anyone who even thinks of messing with me will be disqualified immiediately. Got it?
-Hm. No fatal force? That's no fun- one of the sound ninja retorted.
Ibiki completely ignored him while men behind him chuckled in amusement.
-Now, if we're ready, we'll proceed to the first stage of the Chunnin Exam. Hand over your paperwork. Each of you will be given a number. This number determines where you will sit. We'll start the written test once you're all seated.
-The what?- Naruto mumbled from beside me- Did he say.. written? NOOO!

I handed over my papers and received a number.
I have a seat right in the back.. great. I slowly but confidently walked up to my assigned desk. I sat down on the wooden chair and looked around me, assessing my surroundings.-Hello there- a snakey voice called out from beside me. I turned to the side to see a pale woman with long dark hair. Sound headband. Orochimaru. I just had to get a seat next to him! I looked coldly at the 'woman'. I could see interest in 'her' eyes.
-What pretty eyes you have..- he started- Wonder if they're even more special...
I twitched. How would he know? Sometimes I hate how similar I am to Itachi. In the past, everytime I looked in the mirror I wanted to smash it into pieces.
Orochimaru chuckled. He must've noticed my discomfort.
-What's your name?- he asked.
-I'm not obliged to answer that question- I retorted- Especially since you're my rival during the Exam.
And an enemy out of it..
-Hu hu hu. I just wanted to be nice and maybe get to know eachother.. But I guess you don't want that.
He was staring at my face, analyzing my features. I decided to turn away but I could still feel his gaze on me.What's your problem?- I wanted to ask, but I decided to not initiate a talk with him.
-Everyone, eyes front- Ibiki spoke up- There are a few rules you need to be aware of. And I won't answer any questions. So you better pay attention the first time around!
-Alright, rule number one is- Ibiki said while writing on a big board behind him- The written part of the Exam is conducted on a point reduction system. Counter to what some of you may be used to, you all begin the test with a perfect score of 10 points. One point will be deducted for each answer you'll get wrong. So if you miss three, your final score will be seven. Rule number two. Teams will pass or fail based on the total score of all members.
-What?!- Sakura yelled- Wait a second! You're saying we all get scored as a team?!
-Silence!- Ibiki interrupted- I have my reasons. So shut up and listen! Rule number three. The sentinels you see positioned around the room are there to watch you carefully for any signs of cheating. And for every incident they spot, they will subtract two points from the complete score.
Confused gasps could be heard around the classroom.
-Be warned. Their eyes are extremely sharp. And if they catch you five times you'll be dismissed before the tests are even scored. Anyone fool enough to be caught cheating by the sentinels doesn't deserve to be here. If you wanna be considered shinobi, then show us what exceptional shinobi you can be. One more thing. If any candidate should get a zero and fail the test, then the entire team fails. The final question won't be given out until 15 minutes before the end of the testing period. You'll have one hour total. Begin!
