As soon as Orochimaru disappeared, I fell to the ground, my knees giving up on me.

-Ruri!- Sasuke shouted worriedly.

The ravenette quickly ran up to my fallen form, gripping onto my shoulders tightly.

-S-Sasuke- I muttered, my voice raspy. I could still feel that metallic taste in my mouth. My chest hurt, and I could barely hide the urge to cough up blood. I have never felt this weak, this wounded. The pain seemed to cloud my rational thinking as I said, "Sasuke, I'm so sorry!" Tears slowly fell down my cheeks, my chest hurting after every word I uttered.

-Ruri..- Sasuke murmured, sadness filling his gaze.

-Sasuke, I'm sorry I didn't tell you earlier! I was so selfish! I'm-

Loud coughs resonated around the clearing. I thought I heard someone calling out my name, but I wasn't sure as a loud ringing sound filled my ears. As I put my hand on my mouth, trying to silence my coughing fit, I could feel arms engulfing me. I brought my hand back from my lips. My once pale palm was now crimson red. Before I knew it, my whole vision went black.

*Sasuke's pov*

-Is she going to be alright?- I asked Sakura while holding tightly onto Ruri's hand.

The rose-haired girl sat on her knees, both of her palms on the dark-haired girl's chest. Green chakra surrounded the area.

-She'll be okay! I'm trying my best, though I'm not as good at medical ninjutsu as Ruri-chan- the young green-eyed kunoichi spoke, sweat drenching her face. She seemed to be struggling, her chakra slowly leaving her body.

-Sakura, you should rest for now. You're getting pale- I said, a bit worried for my teammate.

Sakura only sighed, moving her hands onto her knees.

-Ruri-chan, please be alright- the pink-haired girl murmured- I need you- she added quietly.

I felt a pang of jealousy in my chest. Ruri's mine. Even more now. As Uchihas, we need to stick together. And one day restore our Clan, like I've always wanted. Only with her. Only with my Ruri.

"Argh..."

I heard a low groan from behind me. I turned around to see Naruto already trying to get up.

-Naruto!- Sakura shouted in relief.

-What... what happened...- the blond muttered. -Wait... Ruri-chan... Where's Ruri-chan?!

-Calm down, idiot. She's right here- I retorted.

The blue-eyed boy immediately ran up to me and Ruri, his movements still stiff after the battle.

-Is... Is she going to be okay? I only remember that big explosion and then...

-Don't worry, Naruto- Sakura started- She'll be just fine. By the way, Sasuke.

I turned to look at the kunoichi with a questioning look on my face.

-Ruri-chan- Sakura continued- I saw it. She had the Sharingan. And that... man called her Ruri Uchiha.

Naruto's ears perked up at those words.

-Is that really true?- the pinkette inquired.

After a moment of silence, I replied with a simple, "Yes."

Sakura and Naruto both widened their eyes.

-But... why did she hide it from us?- the green-eyed girl wondered. Naruto shook his head in agreement.
