"Wake up Camila."

The sound of monitors beeping echoed throughout the hospital room.

Bright lights hit her eyes, causing her to slightly squint. As she was adjusting to how bright the room is, someone gasped and ran towards her bed.

"Camila, you're awake! You're finally awake!" The feminine voice shouted. The same girl yelled out, "Guys, shes awake! Come on!" The door swung open and in came a hoard of people in the room. Some looked like they hadn't slept in days, months even. Some looked like they came back from the dead, and others, looked peachy and perfect.

"Thank God you're awake." Camila sat up, struggling a bit but the girl who shouted helped her. Her eyes scanned the room, eyeing each person carefully. As she opened her mouth, she couldn't speak. It was like she wanted to, but the words wouldn't come out of her mouth.

Her hand slowly touched her throat, rubbing it slowly. The girl that shouted was actually a family friend of Camila's that hadn't visited her for years. Ariana was her name.

Ariana's eyes became somewhat saddened and internally Camila panicked. What if she lost her voice?

Before Ariana could explain what happened, in came two people. The hoard of people that rushed into the room before quickly made way for the two people.

As she got a better view of them, joy rushed through Camila. She tried removing the covers and run over to them but Nicole already beat her and attacked her with a tight hug which made her fall back on the bed slightly.

Jack was breathless since they both ran from the cafeteria which was a few floors down. They took the elevator but Camila's room was located at the very end of the floor she was on.

Soon, Jack joined in on the hug but Ariana made them give Camila some space since she just woke up and wouldn't want them to suffocate her to death.

Nicole cupped her sister's face as tears brimmed her eyes. "Thank god you're awake, Camila."

A smile formed on Camila's face as she nodded.

"Yeah, it's been-"

Just as Jack could finish his sentence, the doctor walked in and kicked out most of the people, including Ariana. He let Nicole and Jack stay though.

"Ah, you're finally awake!" The doctor exclaimed, actually happy.

"How are you feeling?" He asked and Camila opened her mouth to speak but remembered she couldn't get the words out. The doctor observed her and his happy face disappeared and in came a serious one.

"Dr. Oh, why can't she speak?"

Dr. Oh sighed and picked the clipboard from Camila's bed with her information and flipped through Lots of pages to write down what's her condition today.

As he finished he sighed once more and put the clipboard with information back into the slot where it belonged.

"It's going to take a couple hours or days for her to regain her voice. I mean, being in a coma for a 7 months really does something to a person."

7 months? For 7 months I was in a coma?

Memories flushed through her brain, causing little bit of pain to surge through her head. Recalling what happened and why she was here was the worst part.

Panic rushed through her this time and she started breathing heavily. The doctor told her to calm down and take deep breaths, which she did but she eyed Nicole and started doing hand gestures.

At first Nicole didn't get it but then a little, "oh," came out and she looked through her purse, grabbing her phone and handing it to her sister.

Camila imputed the password and went to the notes app. She started typing really fast, messing up and having to redo it but soon she typed out what she was panicking about and showed Nicole.

Nicole read the note and showed Jack. Jack looked at Nicole and saw that his wife was giving him those eyes.

The note said,
Didn't I get shot because of Nick? Wasn't I rushed to the ER? Is that why I was in a coma? Wait, where's Shawn? Why wasn't he here Nicki? He's alright isn't he?

Jack then opened his mouth and Camila's stomach turned at his words.

"Who's Shawn?"
