"Good morning to all of you. Mr. Sakusa is here and will be ready to answer your questions. Please refrain from asking very personal questions." Sakusa's assistant told the interviewers sitting in front of the stage.

Sakusa entered the room, still in his jersey and the medal around his neck with his mask on. He sat down, opened his mask and nodded at the tremendous amount of people sitting in front of him. He looked at his assistant and nodded again, signalling him to start with the questions.

"Mr. Sakusa, how do you feel beating the record today that hadn't been broken even by the best players in the last 5 years?" The first question arose and he let out a breath.

"Uh, I don't know how I'm supposed to feel. Obviously, I'm proud of myself and my teammates. Other than that, I don't know." He answered.

The questions went on, as he answered them. He didn't know how to feel. It was like he didn't feel anything after he let him get the best of himself a year ago. He hadn't been the same. He hadn't been the same after letting go of the best thing that ever happened to him. It was like when you left, you took all of his feelings and happiness with you. And that was not your fault.

"Last question, what would you say, is the biggest regret in your life?" One of the interviewers asked him.

His ears perked at the question. He gripped the mic tightly in his fist, debating whether to answer the question or not. He hoped that you were watching his interview. He had always hoped that.

"My biggest regret in life was letting go of someone who had the biggest impact on my life. It was letting go of someone that had been by my side through all of the bullshit I put them through. It was letting go of the girl I still love more than my life a year ago." Sakusa answered.

He felt his eyes brim with tears at the mention of you. He set the mic softly on the table and got up. He put his mask on, bowed to the interviewers and left. His assistant thanked everyone, grabbed his boss's bag and ran after him.

Sakusa got in the car, putting his headphones on. He blinked, letting the tears fall. He shouldn't have let you go, he should never have told you off like that. He never should've let you feel that way. He was so mad at himself for doing that. He had been beating himself up for the last 2 years for that.

He balled his fist tightly, shutting his eyes. Memories of you and him together, happy flashed in his mind. He smiled when a memory of you falling and laughing at your stupidity came into his mind. The smell of your hair, the comforting smile of yours, the pretty face and the incredibly gorgeous hair of yours came into his mind.

The song, Lonely by Akon in his ear played. He looked outside the window, at the sky. The sky looked so pretty today. It reminded him of you. He unplugged his earphones and took a picture of the sky from his phone.

"You should go to her." His assistant said, without looking at him.

"She wouldn't want-"

"That's your problem sir. You always think for others. How do you know that she wouldn't want that? Did she tell that to you? She was hopelessly in love with you for years. You really think she would start hating you and move on and she wouldn't want to see the guy she had loved for years suddenly?" His assistant said.

"She always watches your interviews. She always watches your matches and whenever you're hurt, she drops me a text. Do you think that she doesn't want to see you? It's your mind that's making you not do things the right way. Think of what she wants from her point of view, not yours." He said and stopped the car.
