After hours of overthinking, we are finally in the border of Sikkim. The driver parks the jeep to complete the security procedure. Neither I couldn't enjoy the drive nor the scenic beauty, just because of the sadness within me and all the things that's happening. I regret coming here with these people. It'd have been a very interesting drive if I was with my mom dad or someone I really love. Not counting Razz, Sam and Samar because they were sleeping the entire way.

The tour guide comes to our jeep and tells me to collect everyone's citizenship card for the checking. I wake everyone up and collect everyone's citizenship card. I come out of the jeep looking for the tour guide. Then I see him near a jeep. He is talking with someone, and unfortunately that someone is Kabir. Even though I don't want to face him, I walk towards them. I'll return as soon as giving our citizenship cards.

"Here" I pass our cards to the tour guide.

"Thanks! Please stay here until I get these verified." He says.

Before I tell him anything few people from different jeeps come to give the citizenship they collected from their respective jeeps. The tour guide tells them the same thing he tell me.

I stand like a statue, not knowing what to talk about. Then Kabir takes my name. I pretend not to hear him; I don't want any more drama.

"Dr. Shruti!" Kabir says, making me look at him.

He looks serious.

"What happened?" I ask. Honestly, I am scared what he'll say next.

"Please forget our past for once and think of me just as your patient's husband." He says. I can see stress on his forehead and fear in his eyes.

"Is Rachana okay?" I immediately ask.

"Her blood pressure is too high and she is not taking her medication." He sighs.

"She's neither talking to me nor taking her medicines from last night. I'm worried something bad will happen to her and our baby." He adds.

"How high it is?" I ask.

"We checked it in a medicine shop 2 hours ago, it showed 130/85." He says making my eyes go wide.

"And you're telling me now? That's dangerous. Let me check on her where is she?" I ask.

"She is sleeping right now. Let's not wake her up right now. I was planning to take her to the hospital once we reach Sikkim but I couldn't just not inform you. You're a professional." He says.

I am glad he kept his ego aside and asked for my help.

"High blood pressure is dangerous during pregnancy. Did the pressure rise only after her pregnancy?" I ask.

"Yes! Her blood pressure started raising after she crossed 4 months." He explains.

"It is normal but it must be kept in control with medications. Let me check up on her as she wakes up." I say, worried about her.

"Okay!" He says.

"Feel free to call me whenever Rachana needs me." I say and he just nods.

"I'll pay your fee when we're back in Nepal." He says disappointing me.

"I'm not helping you for money." I say. He doesn't reply.

None of us speak anything after that. We both are lost in our own thoughts. After some time, the tour guide comes back with our citizenship cards. Taking the cards of our group we all walk back to our own jeeps. Still one hour of drive, to reach our hotel. We were staying near a placed called MG Road.

"What took you so long?" Razz asked yawning.

"I had to wait till the cards were verified." I reply, adjusting in my seat.

"I'm so hungry." I say out of nowhere, making everyone laugh.

"I've some packet of chips." A girl from the front seat says, passing it to me.

"Thank you so much." I say.

The driver gets in the jeep and starts the engine.

"Few more hours of drive." One of my friend sighs.

The drive starts and within a minute the driver stops the jeep, making all of us jump. Why a sudden stop?

"What happened?" Samar asks.

"I don't know! The jeep ahead of us suddenly stopped." The driver explains.

People starts coming out from the jeep ahead of us. We have no idea what is going on. I open the window wondering what is happening. Then all of sudden Kabir is running towards our jeep. He is panicking. He opens the door of our jeep.

"Kabir what's wrong?" Samar asks.

He's breathless to even speak. Every one of us came out of the jeep. Kabir is breathing very fast.

"Calm down!" Samar pats his back.

"Shruti..." He says and again starts breathing heavily.

"Rach... Rach! Something happened to her!" Kabir explained.

"Shruti please save her!" He joins his hand with eyes full of tears. It breaks my heart, seeing him this way. He's too scared.

"Razz please bring my bag." I say to Razz.

Without thinking of anything else, Kabir and I run towards Rachana.

Rachana is unconsciously laying on the backseat of their jeep. Some people are rubbing her palm and feet.

"She needs fresh air please get her out of the jeep." I say, me myself trying to get her out.

Some people have already arranged a mat and have placed it on the ground. Samar, Kabir, Sam and other guys bring her out and places her on the mat.

"Please someone try calling an ambulance." I say checking Rachana's pulse. It's dangerously low. She's not even breathing properly. It's not a good thing. Both her and her baby's life is at risk.

I start giving her CPR. It's important for her to start breathing normally.

"She was all okay! Then all of sudden she started having a sharp pain in her chest." I heard people saying on the background.

It looks like she had a heart attack because of high blood pressure. We must go to the hospital and deliver the baby as soon as possible. But the CPR is not helping.

"Shruti, the ambulance is on its way but it will take an hour to reach here. Instead of waiting, we should take her to the hospital ourselves." Razz says.

"We'll bring our van." The Sikkim police who were in the checking says.

"We don't have time for that! We can't move her until she gets her heartbeat back." I say.

"What? Is her heart not working?" Kabir panics.

I continuously do CPR on her.

"Rachana please wake up! Please open your eyes." Kabir cries. Samar handles him.

I try my best to regain her breathe and heartbeat but I'm failing. If I can't do it in few minutes, we'll lose her and her baby. I give my heart and soul in giving her CPR. But Neither I can feel her heartbeat nor I can feel her baby's movement. And there comes a moment I lose faith in myself. I can't do it. I sigh.

"Come on Shruti! Let's try harder together." I hear a voice.

I look beside me and he's here.

Dr. Nishan is here.
