"Go and rest in your room baby... I will bring something to eat for you. Hmm?" Mom says, running her delicate fingers through my hairs. We just came back from hospital, after another session.
"Ok" I smile and nod, turning on my steps to walk towards the staircase. But when I was set my foot on the first step, the bell rings catching our attention.
"Who could be there at this hour?" I hear mom say, as she walks to the door and I look at the same way.
She opens the door and I widen my eyes a bit when I see who was standing there.
"Jeongguk?" Mom says.
"Hi Mrs. Kim... how are you?" Jeongguk says, his backpack slinging on one of his shoulder. Did he come here directly from the college?
I walk a little away from staircase and towards the living room.
"I am good dear... come in..." Mom opens the door more to let Jeongguk in. I feel like my heart starts to beat differently every single time I look at him. How can someone be so handsome?
I think god is directing a movie out of my life right now with so many turns and twists of his own... Because what are the odds...?
You like someone who is so perfect and literally out of the world. And then plot twist: He likes you back.
I still cannot get over this fact. I still cannot get over the moments from yesterday. It wasn't a dream right? Or my imagination? It was all true right?
Because I can clearly remember the feeling of his lips on mine. Oh so euphoric... It can't be a dream... And if it wasn't then I pray to god I never forget these memories...
"Tae?" His voice brings me out of my thoughts and I look at him, standing in front of me with his lips forming a smile.
"H-hi" I say, looking down, feeling shy all of a sudden.
"Hey" He breathes out, then takes my hand. I widen my eyes then look around to see mom was not there.
"She's gone in the kitchen" He whispers understanding my expression and I sigh before a smile forms on my face. The soft brush of his fingers on my back of my hand ,as he led both of us to sit on the couch, was doing things to my weak heart. I can't help myself but notice even the smallest of details when I am near him. It's like, I just want to save every single one of them with me forever.
I wish that was possible for me...
I think. And maybe Jeongguk noticed the change in my expression once again as he says, "Don't think about anything right now Tae... I am here with you... let's enjoy our moments right now. Yeah?" His words make me look from my lap to his face, that had a soft expression.
With the setting sun, he seemed like the last ray of sunshine in my life... and I want to bath in this sunshine as much as I can...
So I smile and nod slowly, rubbing my thumb over his hand that held mine.
