My feelings for you
Like the memories we share
Have grown so big
But when the memories are gone,
Will the feelings be there?
Will you be there?

Jeongguk hears for the 4th time as he sat in the cafeteria. Taehyung was not picking up his call.
"He must not have his phone with him right now Jeongguk... don't panic a lot" Yoongi says when he notices Jeongguk's expressions.
"But he is usually in his room this time..." Jeongguk retorts as an unsettling feeling fills his heart.
"Maybe he is sleeping..." Jimin says, then looks down on his lap. Although, even he had been questioning the slight change in his best friend's behavior but he doesn't want to voice that out at this moment and add fuel into Jeongguk's worries.
"Yeah Jimin is right... also the college ends in a hour or two... you will get to meet him in person soon Jeongguk-ah, so now focus on eating..." Yoongi says softly.
"Hmm" The latter just hums, his eyebrows still knitted together as he resumes to eat his cold food. His eyes moving to his phone after every few seconds, to check if Taehyung called him back or at least sent a message.
🤍🤍
Fortunately for Jeongguk, the next lecture offered some relief as the professor allowed them time to prepare for upcoming exams. He spent half of that time diligently reviewing his notes and textbooks, trying to focus on the task at hand. However, despite his best efforts, his mind kept drifting back to one person-the thoughts of Taehyung persistently occupying his mind.
The drive to Taehyung's house after college seemed longer than usual, each minute ticking by with an almost agonizing slowness. Jeongguk couldn't help but feel a growing restlessness gnawing at him, a sense of foreboding that he couldn't quite shake off.
"Why am I feeling like this? Taebear, are you okay?" he mutters under his breath, his concern evident in his voice.
Parking the car in front of Taehyung's house, he hurries up to the front gate and presses the doorbell with a mixture of anticipation and nervousness. This time, it was Taehyung's father who answers the door, his expression inscrutable as he silently gestures for Jeongguk to come inside.
"Oh, Jeongguk-ah, you're here" Soyeon greets him warmly, her voice a welcome contrast to the uneasy tension that Jeongguk felt. She sits beside her husband on the couch in the cozy living room, offering a comforting presence.
"Yeah," Jeongguk replies softly, a flicker of relief crossing his face before he makes his way upstairs, his footsteps echoing faintly in the hallway as he heads towards Taehyung's room.
. . .
"Taebear... are you sleeping?" Jeongguk asks softly, turning the doorknob and stepping into the room. He finds Taehyung lying on the bed, facing away from him.
"No..." Taehyung replies, turning towards Jeongguk with a faint smile. He pats the space beside him on the bed, shifting into a half-sitting position.
A wave of relief washed over Jeongguk as he approaches and settles down next to Taehyung, immediately pulling him into a warm embrace.
