Leah's POV.Okay, so I'm in the same room as David Beckham. Can you believe it? And Victoria Beckham too, plus their son Kai.
How did I end up here, you ask? Well, it all started with a regular day at the Arsenal gym. I was just finishing up some exercises when my manager, Michael, called me.
I thought he was going to talk about some football-related projects, but boy, was I wrong. He dropped a bombshell on me, saying something about a big opportunity involving the Beckhams.
Next thing I know, I'm sitting here, trying to wrap my head around the fact that I'm about to be part of something huge with one of football's most famous families. It's crazy, but hey, I'm here for it.
"We have an offer for you from the Beckhams," Michael said to me over the phone.
I couldn't believe it. The Beckhams? Surely they must have made a mistake. I mean, what could they want with me?
Michael insisted we meet to discuss it further, and although I was skeptical, I agreed. Maybe there was more to this than I realised.
When we finally met up, Michael explained the whole thing to me. Apparently, they were talking about Kai Beckham, the son of David and Victoria Beckham. It all started to make sense.
I knew of Kai Beckham, of course. He was famous just for being their son. I'd even seen him recently at The Emirates, where he'd scored against Arsenal and then cheekily bowed to the fans. Needless to say, I wasn't a fan of his attitude.
But considering what the fans have been chanting throughout the game, it wasn't surprising.
I knew this Kai Beckham guy pretty well; I mean, he's been all over the news lately, the talk of the town, the rising star of football.
And let's be real, the guy's good looking. He's got that modern look, just like his dad. Those curly locks drive the girls wild.
The Beckham family and I aren't complete strangers. We've bumped into each other at a few events, exchanged some words. I've had some conversations with David, especially during the Euros, chatting about women in football and their progress. His daughter seems interested in that too.
And who hasn't watched the Beckham show on Netflix? It was a hit! There was this part where David and Victoria talked proudly about Kai and how he's carrying on the Beckham legacy in the football world.
When Michael first told me about Kai Beckham needing a fake dating partner, I was stunned. Like, why me? And to make matters worse, Michael mentioned that David and Victoria were the ones who chose me for the role without hesitation.
Fake dating a Beckham? That's so not me. I'm all about real connections, not fake stuff. But then Michael pointed out that the publicity from the fake relationship could help shine a spotlight on women's football, which got me thinking.
I needed time to consider, but one night, after my comeback game, I went out with the girls and ended up getting pretty drunk. Luckily, I didn't spill the beans to anyone, but I did drunkenly text Michael that I was in.
Looking back, it was a spur-of-the-moment decision fueled by alcohol, but now there was no turning back. And here I am today, in Manchester, in this meeting about everything.
