August 31st 1995

That morning I woke up at my usual time again.
I was brought breakfast by a house elf named Winkie and I was back down at my usual spot by the Black Lake at 8:00 with my sketchbook.
It was an unusually warm day for the end of August in Scotland but I shrugged it off and lay by the water absorbing the sun rays.
Since I had planned my outfit according to the weather I was able to get a nice tan in my black denim shorts and white crop top.
I was unusually pale for a girl who had lived in America most of her life but that was only because I was never really allowed out the house to get to the sun but when I was in the sun I tanned quite nicely.

There was a nice breeze drifting from the lake over to me and with it being so silence except for the sound of the lake crashing against the rocks, that I was almost beginning to fall asleep.
Shaking myself out of my daze I sat up again and started to draw the lake and forest in front of me.
While I was drawing I noticed Snape walking alone in the distance, it looked like he was coming back to the castle. I suppose the sun was too much for a bat like him.
Once I had finished and was happy with my drawing I put my sketchbook aside and started walking along the banking of the lake. It had gotten a bit hot wearing my heels on a day so warm so I threw them to the side along with my sketchbook.
I started walked further long the lake to wear the water was deeper and there was a cooler breeze.
The glistening sparkle the water gave off became so tempting that when I found a rock high enough I took a running jump and dove off the side of the small cliff and plunged elegantly into the water.
The cold hit me like a hundred needles, it was a sudden shock but once I got used to it, it was quite a soothing sensation. The iciness of the lake sent shivers through my spine and numbed my body but I liked it.
I ducked my head under and swam for a bit until it got so dark I couldn't see further down and choose to resurface. I gasped for breath and smoothed out my hair, bobbing up and down on the shallow end of the lake. When I spun around to face the path running along side the forest I was surprised to see the dark figure of Severus Snape watching me with a scowl while I swam in the Black Lake. I forced a smile onto my face.
"Good morning Severus." I chirped, my obviously fake tone sickly sweet.
"Miss Dumbledore." He frowned. "What are you doing?"
"Just taking a swim in the lake to cool me down."
"You realise it is forbidden to do so."
"I was not informed of that, no. But it seems I am doing no harm."
"It is not you I am worried about. The Giant Squid resides here and his behaviour can be unpredictable so I would advise-"
"It's a big lake, Severus, and I see no squid, I'd say I'm safe for now."
"Just don't come running to me when it comes then." He warned, starting to walk back to the castle.
"Wait." I said jumping out of the lake to join him. "I'll walk with you."
I saw Snape's face fall, this was the last thing he wanted I could tell. He looked my up and down and it was then that I realised that my white top had gone completely see-through. Snape hadn't seen that I noticed him staring but soon enough he looked away and snapped out of his little day-dream. "You shouldn't be going in the castle dripping wet." He growled.
"I'll dry." I said simply, watching him intently.
We walked in silence back to Hogwarts giving me time to think.

I was convinced now that my first impressions of this man were correct he was an arrogant, pompous man who got off on intimidating people, making them feel bad about themselves, and putting them down at every chance he got. He was conceited and vain. Just like my father.
I wanted to find away around this man. Show him that he cant intimidate me, he can't make me feel worthless... And I suppose the only way to do that would be to do the same to him.
I wanted to intimidate him, make him feel small. And I knew exactly how to do it. This was where I could use what was my weakness and make it my advantage. I could seduce this man like my father had taught me to. It would have to be a slow process, of course, he didn't seem like the type of man who would get a lot of action, in fact I could bet that he was still a virgin. Which gave me the perfect advantage.
This time the word 'slut' would not be used to bully me. I would where it like a badge and I could intimidate any man who thought he would use me like my father used to. I was a changed woman and I would not be scared senseless by anyone any more.
