I'm so sorry this took so long I've just been really busy this month but I hope the next few chapter will be up a lot quicker.

The more I was with Draco the more he returned to his usual self and the more I began to like him again. Of course I was still only dating him to get back at Snape but I started to feel like I actually wanted to be with him sometimes, instead of it being an obligation.
He wasn't nervous when we went out on the Saturday, which he had at first predicted he would be from the state of his invitation, but he gallous and self assured.
As I made my way down the stairs leading from the dorm into the common room, Draco was already there waiting for me. He lay spread out on the large sofa with his two side-kicks, Crabbe and Goyle, it was obvious Draco was bragging again.Draco's smug face was all I could see as I entered the room and he stood to greet me. He wrapped an arm around my shoulder and pulled me close, almost like he was marking his territory.
"You're looking good." Draco smirked, looking me up and down.
"Thanks." I smiled, giving him a quick kiss on the cheek.
I noticed him wink at his friends and give them a nod in my direction before taking my hand and pulling me from the room.
It seemed I had no choice in our destination as I was lead right to the Three Broomstick and directed to a seat. Unsurprisingly the place was packed with students and a few teachers enjoying their first day off. Draco secluded us from the rest of the crowd and forced me into an empty booth near the bar. He took the seat next to me and instantly regained his arm positioning as he held my waist.
"Wouldn't it make more sense for you to sit opposite me? Its so crowded in here and seats are scarce, now it just looks like were wasting seats." I commented shrugging away from him slightly."But then I wouldn't get to be so close to you." He retorted being annoyingly clingy again, as he moved closer again. We sat in an awkward silence for the next few moments until we were approached by a waiter asking for our order.
"Two Butterbeers." Draco ordered, but I had different ideas.
"Actually if you wouldn't mind I'll just have a regular beer, please." I added, looking at Draco for a response.
"Oh, yeah, sure. Actually make that two." He requested, looking a little disgruntled at my forwardness.
Considering I only met him five days ago, Draco acted like he had already sussed me out and like we had been dating for months but in reality he was clueless. We had only being going out for a few days and even at that I barely spoke to him in the time we were together, I was always too preoccupied. I honestly did want to do well this year and I had a lot of homework to catch up on and the whole business with snape had bent me right out of place but that wouldn't stop me doing what I wanted when I had the chance. Draco wasn't so bad and when he wasn't being clingly I really liked him but most of the time he really needed to loosen up.After our drinks came and then another few minutes of silence, Draco finally decided to speak.
"You know Aria, you aren't like normal girls, I can tell that, but I don't really know anything about you. We should talk." He insisted.
"Sure, whatever." I shrugged.
"Tell me something about yourself then, you're so shut off."
"There's a reason for that. And yet after only a day of knowing me you seemed so adamant to take me out on a date. Why?"
"Because I wanted to get to know you. So just tell me something, anything." He persisted.
"Like what?"
"I don't know? like what do you like to do."
"Draw. Read." I replied bluntly shrugging and taking a large gulp of beer.
"I know that but is there anything else."
"No." I said laconically.
Draco too took a large drink of his beer before letting out an exasperated sigh.
"Ugh. You're impossible, why are you being so awkward." He groaned.
"Listen Draco." I sighed, fed up. "I don't really do dates. Actually if I'm completely honest I don't really do boyfriends, not long term anyway. But I'm here with you, and if I tell you the truth I think this might actually be my first proper date." I confessed agitated, not meeting his eyes.
"Seriously?" He asked. "You must be kidding, how can you never have been on a date?"
"I don't know, I guess the guys I see don't really do dates and if they did they weren't anything special."
"I'm sorry." He replied sadly.
"Why? It doesn't bother me, I don't really do dates either but I'm here now so might as well see it through." I groaned.
"That's the spirit." He sighed and we both took another sip of our drinks.
