"Did you enjoy it?"

The voice woke me up and again I jumped in surprise. I should stop being scared of sounds. I looked to my left and saw a very amused vampire looking straight at me.

"It was the best movie ever," I answered vaguely and forgot to hold out a yawn.

"Yeah? Tell me what it was about" he smirked.

"It started with the main girl doing her makeup." I heard myself instantly.

"And after that?"

"I have no idea" I confessed to my annoyance. I really hate his commands forcing me to do stuff.

"I mean, I know. Just look how sweet you were while you slept." Xavi took his phone from his lap and with a few clicks opened a picture of me leaning on his shoulder and him smiling like a child.

I couldn't believe I let myself fall asleep next to a vampire. More importantly, some dysfunctional psycho that he was before leaving me in the cage for some days. My tail hit the sofa again and I had to wrap it around my waist to conceal the frustration with myself.

"Do you want to go back to the cage or do you want to lay next to me while I sleep?" He asked while standing up and putting the phone in his pocket.

"Could I just walk around the house while you sleep?"

He raised an eyebrow to my question and we just stood there for a minute while I was figuring out his expression. I grinned my teeth together, forced a smile, and tilted my head just a bit.

"Please? I promise to be good." I said in the sweetest tone possible. It cost me my dignity, but I didn't feel like curling up back into that cage.

"I gave you a choice. It's up to you."

"Can I negotiate the terms?" I knew it amused him to fury me, so I gave in a little bit to soften him up.

"Cage or my bedroom." He raised two fingers, indicating which finger was which.

"Must I lay with you while you sleep? Can I quietly walk around the room?"

Xavier's smile went wider and he thought about my offer for a second. I closed my eyes took a few deep breaths and opened them again just to find Xavi gone. I looked around and just as I was about to go to the hall, he came back holding a collar. I could feel my eyes starting to twitch.

"You can do whatever in my room as long as you wear this." He announced, holding out that hideous thing.

I felt angry tears accumulating in my eyes so I blinked twice and lowered my head. He made me eat from a dog's bowl and now he wants me to be a house cat?

"I'll go back to the cage," I whispered.

I could feel his smile drop and he threw the collar on the sofa with such force, that it bounced and flew to the back of the room. I quickly glanced at the scene and caught his darkened face. How did I manage to make him so angry?

Just like in the kitchen, I felt myself going backward as he started going towards me. My mind was racing. What did I do so wrong? If he gave me a choice, why would he be mad that I chose something he didn't prefer?

My back hit the wall and I forgot how to breathe. His elbows leaned on the wall trapping me and his fist hit the wall so hard I felt the wall trembling. His dark eyes were looking straight at mine and I couldn't look away. My hands desperately were searching the wall trying to find something that could help me avoid the same situation that happened on my first day here, but it was a plain wall and nothing more.

"I'm sorry, master." I winced, still holding my breath.

"What for?" His voice once again was cold and shivers ran through my spine. What does he want me to say?
