When a female laughter finally reached my ears, I even dropped my phone. Where does that female laughter come from? While listening closely, I heard more voices and music coming from the living room. I wasn't expecting any guests, so I got out of bed where I'd probably spent a few hours, adjusted my new dress and slipped out the door. Various smells immediately tickled my nose, among which I definitely recognized the smell of alcohol. I sneezed at the amount of smoke, but that didn't stop me from sneaking quietly into the living room.

"... no, I remember his expression." The vampire, whose face made my blood boil, laughed.  I also realized that she was sitting on Xavier's knee, and his hand was lightly running up and down her back.

Clinging to his shoulder was another girl, who I recognized by her ears as a faery, and around the table sat several other representatives of both species.

"What's suddently smelling so tasty here?" One vampire raised his head, starting to look around.

"Me, most likely." I answered, going further inside, without even realizing that I pressed my nails into my palm until it bled.

"What is this trash doing here? And dressed like this?" The vampire on Xavier's lap hissed. Turning to him, the girl ran her finger over his chin, forcing him to look at her. "After all, we were so good without her."

I stuttered unable to find the right words. Xavier's glazed eyes turned to me, but the surprise and admiration in his gaze meant nothing to me now. I swallowed hard and bit my lip to stop the tears from even forming in my eyes.

"I'm dressed like this because my master's pet has to look perfect. He is an important person after all." I answered the vampire with a barely trembling voice. My sentence was accompanied by several nods of approval from the other men.

"Well, unless you want to feed us your blood, I suggest you go back to your room." Xavier finally spoke, turning his gaze again to the vampire on his lap.

"Just as the owner wishes." I made a graceful curtsy and after looking at everyone's faces one more time, I dived back through the stairs to the top. After slamming the door of the room, I framed it with a chair and huddled into the pillow, having good few screams into it. I didn't know if it was anger or something else, but now I wanted to disappear, to run away and never see him again.I'd do anything to get out of this house. And that feeling of hopelessness drove me crazy. That's why I suddenly jumped out of bed and started throwing things that came to hand. First, of course, the pillows burst, sending fluff all over the room, then I let go of the bedside lamp, which cracked the closet door on impact. The mirror in the room was also broken, finally I spread my nails and began to rip everything, not even trying to be quiet anymore. As I howled and shouted louder and louder, the voices below got quieter and quieter. But don't I care? Let him be ashamed of having a savage in his own house. Let him be so angry with me that he drives me out of the house and tells me to never appear in his sight.

When I couldn't catch my breath anymore, I fell into a mountain of fluff on the broken bed and took deep breaths while staring at the ceiling. I could feel the mascara running down my cheeks as it finished setting, but I couldn't care less about how I looked. Since no one turned the doorknob and the music downstairs got a little louder, I felt defeated and did the last thing I could think of - I broke the window by throwing the box with the ring I bought at it.

"Be careful!" Someone shouted from the yard.

"Or what?!" I called back, now throwing one of my shoes in the same direction. There was a growl and soon the handle in my room rattled. It took two taps to get them out of the nobs and onto the floor next to the other broken pieces of wood. In the doorway stood one of the vampires who had been sitting on the ground before, and he held my shoe in his hand, which he threw wordlessly towards me.
