Xavier did not return for several days. Through them I was able to scrub the entire living room, clean up all the debris in my room, but I spent most of my time studying the few pictures I got from the vampire. They were from different places, and the document I found in the envelope said that the last place she was seen was on the property of an obscure institute. Even though I was mad at my vampire, I wanted him to come back sooner. I wanted to talk to him and ask him for a favor, but I had no way of contacting him. I had a phone, but his number wasn't on the Internet. While searching for the name of the institute, I couldn't find one, so I decided that it must be owned by supernatural beings. On the sixth day of his disappearance, the front door finally opened and he entered the house as if nothing had happened. I practically sprinted down the stairs to meet him and even though my first instinct was to hug him, I stopped a good meter away from him.

"Hello."I greeted timidly, trying to understand the mood of that unpredictable vampire.

"You are still here." As if it could be otherwise, he stated.

"Yes, you clearly told me not to leave here without you. You know, if there was a fire, I would most likely die here."I narrowed my eyes without even understanding why I added that accusing tone.

He just let out a heavy sigh and walked past me as if I'm not there to reach the stairs. Okay, so he's not in a very good mood and I've just ruined it. I turned on my heel and wordlessly followed him, sneaking into his room through the unlocked door.

"If you want to talk, I'm really not in the mood." He said, taking off his jacket and throwing it on the edge of the bed.

"If you let me go for a day, I will leave you alone."

Xavier turned around with a questioning expression on his face and I just threw my hands up as if to excuse "Asking purely out of boredom". After hesitating for a while, he pulled out his phone and pressed a few buttons.

"That reminds me." I snapped my fingers, pulling mine out of my pocket. "I didn't have a chance to mention that to you before, but I allowed myself to buy it too. I thought I finally knew whose number I wanted to call."

I handed him my unlocked screen, prompting him to enter some numbers. I was a little relieved to see a smile creep across Xavi's face, but it quickly disappeared as he entered his number.

"So... what about that walk?" I asked again, a little afraid of being too intrusive.

"Catherine." He said, catching my gaze. It was enough to see those bright green eyes and I instinctively came closer. "I haven't seen you for so long and you already want to run away?"

"I..." I started, but for greater effect I've decided to come even closer and lightly put my hands on his shoulders. "I'm not running. I will be back. But my vampire is tired and I would like him to rest in peace." I whispered like some secret, still looking into his eyes and, in my opinion, smiling innocently.

Xavier's arms wrapped around my waist and he nuzzled his nose against my neck taking a deep breath. I don't know why his action turned me on, but a blush flooded my cheeks. After running his lips over my neck a few times, he brushed his nose over mine and caught my gaze again.

"You smell so intoxicating." he murmured, lightly brushing my back with his fingers.

"My taste is even better." I got very close to his lips and soon we were already drowning in a kiss which we immediately moved to the bed.

Xavier pressed me under him, his hands demandingly caressing my body as my longing hands tried to touch every inch of him. I least expected him to still affect me like this, but I didn't think for a second about backing off. I wanted him. I needed him like he was my air and life, and from the way he leaned on me, I allowed myself to believe that I was becoming important to him too. We made love as if it was the first and last time we met. Every moan, every sound, each of his touch on my body gave me insane pleasure and I wanted to never let him go. Even as we both were out of breath and fell into bed next to each other, I couldn't bring myself to stop touching him. I rested my head on his chest and began to run my fingers back and forth across Xavier's body, giving Xavier's body a light kiss. His fingers lightly played with the strands of my hair, carefully avoiding touching my ears.
