In a school up in the north two boys loved to ice skate. One was a figure skater, the other a hockey player. I am the figure skater, Mason. The hockey player is just some stupid jock named Diego. He's probably just like any other jock, a stupid player that's slept with half the girls in this school. At least, that's what I've told my friends every time they show an interest in any of the hockey players.
I'd known I was gay from quite a young age and have been openly gay since middle school. It doesn't affect me as much as it used to, all of the bullying had gone down to just silly teasing over the years. Most of the people that teased me for it were the hockey players who make fun of me every time I'm anywhere near a guy. Diego never did it himself, but it's not like he wasn't laughing with them.
Our school only has one ice rink, so we alternate days. I, and the rest of the figure skaters, get the rink one day, and the hockey players get it the next day. Though, on the days I get to skate, a few hockey players stay back to watch and make fun of us. But they only make fun of the girls they want to sleep with and the boys for choosing figure skating over hockey. The only boys that would figure skate were me and some other kid named Henry, but I'm the only gay one of the two.
I haven't had many lovers, mostly because everyone I've dated was closeted and too scared to date a guy, or they just wanted to make fun of me. I even dated one of the hockey players, Simon. Simon wasn't actually gay though, he dated me for a dare. That's how I learned just how horrible most of those hockey players are.
