Once I got home, I greeted my brothers, put my stuff down, and began cooking dinner. I wasn't the worst cook ever, but I'd never be as good a cook as my mom, I knew that much. But I decided to make some chicken alfredo, one of my brother's favorite dishes.

I have two younger brothers, twins actually. I have an older sister but she moved out a few years ago. My dad's out of the picture though, I haven't seen him in years.

I always thought of getting a job to help out my mom a bit but she said I shouldn't and that I should just focus on school. But I at least help out where I can. Like driving my brothers to school or making dinner whenever my mom would have work.

I thought about all of this stuff while making dinner before it was done. I laid three bowls out for me and my brothers, I yelled to get their attention that it's done, then went to feed the dog.

I'd say I'm pretty happy with how things are now. I enjoy caring for my family and I enjoy ice skating after school. The only bad parts were during school, where I have been frequently made fun of. Not bullied though, I stand up for myself enough to avoid that.

I ate dinner with my brothers. My brother Miles was constantly talking about Legos or animals, while my brother Micah would talk about some video games or random memes he'd seen on tiktok. I stayed silent for most of dinner, trying not to indulge in their antics.

After dinner I cleaned up and went to my room. Our dog, Maverick, followed me and laid on my bed while I sat at my desk and worked on homework. I hate homework, who doesn't, really. That's why I easily lost interest in it once I got a text on my phone.

It was from a guy, Bradley, from a different school that one of my friends hooked me up with. We were still on a talking stage, and had been for a few months. It was honestly getting kinda boring. He texted me about a meet up between a few people from my school and his. At least we'd finally get to hang out in person.

He told me to bring a few people as well, so I decided on bringing Sofia so I wouldn't look like too much of a loser, already knowing she'd go because there would be guys there. But I can't judge, I was going for the same reason.

I flirted a bit too, he didn't catch it and just went on and on about details for the meet up. He told me it would be later this week, at a girls house, the same girl that introduced me to Bradley. But soon he shut up and I went back to working on homework. I wasn't exactly excited about it, I knew it'd turn into more than a meet up, probably a full blown party. I really only agreed to go because he was gonna be there.

I finished my homework and went to bed, cuddling with Maverick. I stayed up for a bit, watching random stuff on my phone until I eventually got tired. Once I was tired enough, I turned off my night lights and got up to check on my brothers, then went back to my bedroom to finally get to sleep.
